We were only in Santa Cruz for 2 nights. The place was very nice and above all clean. In addition, we were very warmly welcomed ☺️

The house corresponds exactly to the photographs. It has excellent sea view, with a pleasant balcony to sit and rest. It is right in the center of Santa Cruz, close to all services and a few natural pools immediately in front. Good holiday home:)

I travelled there with my wife and small son, the flat was comfortable, clean, central, thoughtfully designed, and well furnished. We'd be happy to stay there again.

Booked this place for 10 days and we were out every day exploring this beautiful island. Felt right at home coming back to this charming windmill! It had everything we needed and more…a perfect seaside location! Thank you João for your kind gestures and professionalism, thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Will be back!

I had a magnificent stay at the Moinho da Pedra! The apartment has is well equipped and cozy. The windmill is right next to the most famous Queijada bakery with another one within walking distance. It is right in front of the small islet Ilheu da praia which is a nature reserve and offers a beautiful ocean view. Not to mention that it's a unique experience to stay in one of the landmarks of the island. Because the windmill is made of stone it can get cold around evening time if visiting out of season but the apartment is equipped in a heater. The host - Joao - is such a genuinely hospitable and warm person! I recommend staying there to everyone visiting Graciosa Island

We spent four days in this beautifully converted windmill right by the port of Praia. The village center, the beach and the supermarket are only a short walk away. The port installations with their industrial charm spoil the otherwise beautiful location a bit, but it‘s quiet regardless. The views of the mountains are fantastic, as is the experience of living in an old windmill. The kitchenette is small and not the most practical, but caters to basic needs. Capsule coffee maker, microwave and oven are provided. The beds in both bedrooms were super comfy. It can get cool, but there are electric radiators in both bedrooms. The living room (a few easily manageable stairs) feels a bit like a museum with old appliances around. A narrow spiral staircase (odd angle) leads to the top bedroom, the highlight of the windmill! The terrace is great, but lounge chairs and a proper table would have been welcome. João is a great host, very helpful and always available. We loved our stay!

Very friendly host, always responded very fast and helped a lot with fixing a rental car. Accomodation very good and clean. Well recommended!!!

Beautiful apartment in a very convenient location walkable to center of Santa Cruz da Graçiosa. Dehumidifier in room kept things comfortable. Nice little kitchen with microwave and coffee maker. A Supermercado was just a few blocks away, which was great, as the few restaurants were either closed or booked for Carnaval then Valentine's Day. There was also a nice front covered patio with table and chairs. I would highly recommend Moniz House!
