Family-friendly holiday rentals in Grant County

The setting is beautiful. The apartment was sparkly clean and beautifully decorated, big and spacious. Loved the floor to ceiling windows looking out on all the birdfeeders in our bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Azaima was a delightful host with lots of good information about the area and just a lovely, fascinating person. All aspects exceeded our expectations.

NAN Ranch was just the weekend getaway our family needed. We wanted remote and private and that’s what we got! We enjoyed a day trip to Silver City to shop, dine, and even caught the local Blues Festival! One day was spent by the pool/hot tub and we came home so refreshed! We would definitely return!

Sandra’s place is beautiful in a quiet, serene setting. The kitchen was the most well stocked I have ever seen. The homemade bread was delicious. We got to see a ride variety of colorful birds from the kitchen, porch and living room. Loved our stay.

One of a kind place. Old adobe buildings filled with antiques from all over. We stayed in the Gatehouse. It was cool, comfortable and clean, with up to date electric wiring. Great combination of old southwest architecture and modern amenities. We really enjoyed the Gila River at the end of Box Canyon Road.

We had a great stay in Silver City at Patricia's Carriage House Cottage, enjoyed her spacious, clean and comfortable pet-friendly home in the heart of the historic district. Lots to see and do within walking distance or a short drive away - trails, restaurants, museums and galleries. Nice porch space for outdoor relaxing. Looking forward to returning. Our three-generation family occupied both Gatehouse and Bunkhouse dwellings, where we enjoyed Christmas cheer and feasting. Our thoughtful hosts made our stay uber-comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens, comfy bedding, good hot showers, great spaces to gather--everything as described. But most memorable and utterly out of the ordinary was Alex's guided tour of the quarters still remaining on the storied historic L.C. Ranch. Some buildings dating to the early 1800s, with furnishings lovingly assembled over decades by the family of the current stewards (and much left in place from previous centuries), made for a great place to unwind and explore the astonishing surroundings. Gila Cliff Dwellings and Catwalk, like this precious time capsule, are not to be missed!

We enjoyed our stay with Azaima a lot - we experienced her to be a very accomodating and gracious host. She even came over to show us around even though we checked in quite late which was much appreciated. The apartment was beautifully furnished and everything felt really thoughtfully arranged and of high-quality. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen and bathroom were well equipped with everything we needed. We loved waking up to the sunrise and enjoyed the morning on the terrace overlooking the beautiful surroundings that had a countryside and very tranquil feel to them, as did the whole property. We warmly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful stay that feels right like home.

We were delighted to stay at Azaima's beautiful house. She greeted us upon arrival and made us feel immediately welcome and at home. We had a short tour of the property, including how to use the hot tub, and then were left to enjoy the premises. Peaceful natural woodlands and hills surround the house, and it is a birdwatchers paradise. The Hummingbird Suite was tastefully decorated in southwestern style, spacious, comfortable and immaculate. We enjoyed using the hot tub one evening under the stars. Azaima was helpful with restaurant suggestions and other information. She is the perfect hostess, finding the balance between being available when needed, but giving complete privacy to her guests. The photos on the listing do not do justice to this wonderful property. We would love to stay here again on a return visit to Silver City.

Rose was very helpful and communicative. We booked at the last minute and arrived late at night. Rose went over to the house and turned some lights on for us and made sure the gas stove was on. The house was nice and warm and welcoming upon our arrival. Unfortunately we had to leave earlier than expected but Rose made some suggestions of things we should check out before we left, which we did. Would definitely like to stay here again and be able to spend more time and enjoy the area.

This property is, indeed, remote. A 4x4 is definitely recommended, but not absolutely necessary…we saw several “regular” sedans and SUVs making the same trek to this rugged location. If you are too much a city boy or girl, you may not appreciate the pastoral, mountainous surroundings…which are beautiful, but not urban by any stretch of the imagination. We enjoyed our single night stay and successfully avoided any unwelcome local wildlife. Marcus is a very easy-going guy and a pleasure to have met.

This was the perfect place to stay for my birding and astrophotography trip. Close to Portal for world renowned birding and some of the darkest skies you’ll ever encounter and only 2 hours from a major airport. Peter was a responsive, helpful, and gracious host. I can’t recommend this place enough!
