Getting around we would suggest you have a car or bike as there is no public transport or cabs. Please note we are a working farm so you will see and hear tractors during your stay. Our family are also keen equestrians so you will also see horses. There is also a Glamping Cabin in the field so you may see other guests during your stay.

The Summerhouse Tower is a very special holiday-home-for-two set within the rolling Shropshire countryside. A Grade II listed tower, this unique, romantic retreat enjoys excellent views to the east, and views of the Shropshire Hills to the south and the west. The Tower, built circa 1607, was originally used as a banqueting house for entertaining dinner guests. Platt Mill Farm and holiday home are nestled between fields and partly bounded by the river Perry. Dating back to 1269, it is the earliest property in the township with the unusual distinction of having been a double water mill. Although no evidence of the mill remains, If you stop and stare for a while you may get a sense of days gone by when the water mill would have turned day and night, grinding flour for the local folk.
