Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Grímsnes- og Grafningshreppur

I can only offer superlatives describing my experience with Helga and her wonderful apartment. I felt right at home, and had everything I needed and more. Peace and quiet, privacy, comfort, beauty of the area, the list goes on and on. Helga has been a wonderful and helpful host. Thank you so much for helping me relax and have a fantastic time!

The apartment was beautiful, clean, and quiet. The neighborhood is very walkable and there are great restaurants nearby. I would have liked to stayed longer!

Die Wohnung ist super stilvoll und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben uns in dieser gemütlichen Wohnung direkt wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Lage ist toll, alles was man braucht, ist in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Einfach toll!

Sehr schönes Apartment, was tatsächlich größer ist, als es auf den Bildern aussieht. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein sehr gutes Restaurant, was ebenfalls dem Vermieter gehört.

We felt very welcome, there is enough space and a lot of rooms, it is very comfortable, everything we needed was available. And his house is centered between beautiful locations in Iceland. And every time I had a question, he would respond very fast.

Very nice place with lovely views. close to lots of great attractions. Spa just blocks away was a treat.

Het uitzicht vanuit de woonkamer is adembenemend. De villa is goed te bereiken en ligt op minder dan tien minuten rijden van Fludir, waar je boodschappen kunt doen en naar de secret lagoon kunt gaan. Perfecte locatie dus. We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in de villa!

I cannot say enough good things about this house. Not only was the home beautiful clean and very warm, but Vera was such a wonderful and communicative host. We traveled with our two-year-old son and she had a crib highchair and literally everything you could think of set up for a toddler so if you have kids, this is absolutely the place to go. There's even a little treehouse with a slide in the back and at night we could sit in the wonderful hot tub and see the northern lights. I would happily stay here again!!

Best experience so far. Literally well equipped like home especially the kitchen. There are various condiments, pasta, tea bags, coffee for use.

We were absolutely amazed when we walk in to the house. Hjordis’s house is even nicer than in to the photos! House was very stylish, clean and cozy and with all little details which were waiting there for us we were really amazed. There were also provided everything you should need during your stay here. Also instructions was very clear so we didn’t have a problem with anything. It was also great location for our shorter Icelandic trip and we catch everything we wanted to see from there.

This place is great! Very cozy and close to the golden circle and Selfoss, which has great restaurants! We especially enjoyed the cozy vibe of the interior furniture and kitchen. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge combo. Magnús was really responsive when we had questions, and even got on the phone to walk us through how to fill the hot tub and turn off the lights so we could better view the aurora!

Wonderfully proactive communication made for an easy self-check in. House was spacious and charming. All the listed amenities were available, though we didn’t stay long enough to use all of them. Try the local restaurants — especially the bistro— they’re amazing!

We had a wonderful stay with our family of 8 adults! The host was incredibly responsive and accommodating—he provided an air mattress when we needed one and even came by to turn down the heat when it got a little warm in the evenings. The house was very comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was a highlight—perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. The location is central and made it easy to see all the must-see sights. It's perfect for exploring the Golden Circle and also a reasonable drive to Diamond Beach and the Glacier Lagoon if you’re up for a road trip. We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again next time we’re in Iceland!

We visited in Feb 2025. The house was clean and suited 3 adults well. We enjoyed the resident horses, cat, and dogs. The deck was great for aurora viewing. The house was a little over 20 minutes from Selfoss where we enjoyed meals at the Old Dairy Food Hall (numerous restaurants in one building, reasonable prices), and Byrja (a newer place with great breakfast, lunch, and coffee beverages). Great home base for visiting Golden Circle attractions and Reykjavik.
