House holiday rentals in Guimaraes

This place is an absolute gem. It is one of the nicest places we found in Portugal. The house is located in a small vineyard. Beds were comfortable. There’s a wood fired barbeque a great outdoor covered area and a beautiful infinity pool. Every morning we had fresh bread delivered to our doorstep. We picked lemons and oranges from around the house and had the host deliver us fruit. It was beautiful and quiet. The only negative is that we enjoy the place so much we did not visit any of the surrounding areas😊. If we had any questions, the host was response almost immediately with suggestions for places to go restaurants, markets. We had an excellent day and would return and stay there again anytime. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 definitely highly recommended.

After 5 nights spent in this beautiful place I had a hard time leaving it... I got depressed and cried so much this place is perfect, that's to say! In fact, if I could buy this property, I would do it without hesitation 💫 Honestly, I'm still shocked by this breathtaking view... whether you're in bed, on the terrace, in the hot bath or in the pool, it's just sublime, incredible, enchanting... I don't have enough adjectives to describe this place, all I know is that I would like to go back as soon as possible ✨️ PS: remember to buy something to make a fire for the barbecue and the brazier (with marshmallows)

We had a great stay, we will definitely go back. The house is extremely comfortable, beautiful and versatile, it gives both a warm and cold height. The location is perfect, both for those who want to know Gerês, and for those who just want to rest and enjoy the amenities of the house. The hosts are super friendly and flexible, I highly recommend!

On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

As far as we are concerned, the accommodation gets 5 stars. The apartment is neat, has an extensive kitchen and a private roof terrace. In addition, we were allowed to use the communal garden and swimming pool. Everything was taken care of to the last detail. In addition, you can also walk to the underlying lake within a minute, where you can swim! The nature in the area is beautiful, but very remote. Porto is a 1.5 hour drive and is definitely worth a day trip. All in all, we would definitely recommend the accommodation for a week of recharging in nature. The host is also very nice, her father kindly welcomed us, there was a bottle of wine and cheese ready for us and later we got fresh eggs from their own chickens. Finally, he even washed our car just before departure. Really sweet!

We so enjoyed our stay! The house is amazing. Historic and cozy charm with modern amenities. We had so much fun with the soccer field, the pool, the pool table, hammock, and exploring the grounds. We picked lemons off the tree and made lemonade and a lemon dessert! We soo enjoyed meals at the big outdoor tables- wonderful to accommodate our large group of 7. The daily delivery of fresh bread is a treat!! We enjoyed walking into town and visiting the butcher, bakery, fish market and such. It’s a 25-minute walk through lovely hills, though there is not a sidewalk and the traffic was difficult to navigate at times, but we also drove to town. Sitting outside with morning coffee overlooking the valley was one of my favorite parts! My daughter and fiancé stayed in the detached cottage and found it to be so cozy and comfortable. Lastly, Isabel was very accommodating with some last minute changes, which I really appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The house is as it appears in the photos. It's very nice. It offers a setting in nature and with total tranquility to spend a few days of total rest and reading. It is also close to Braga and Guimaraes if you want to go on excursions. There is a restaurant very close by that you can walk to and eat well. Concensao is super friendly and very nice, always attentive if you need anything. Although she lives upstairs, it is a totally private space.

Ivone's home is old world charm with modern amenities. The location of the home is ideal - everything is right out the door - grocery stores, coffee shops, fruit/veggie stand, butcher, bakery, retail and of course you're in the historic center where everything happens. We had a car so having the free parking space down the street was a huge bonus and allowed us to explore northern Portugal, including the Douro, Caminha, Aviero, Amarante, Vila da Ponte, Vila da Conde, Briterios, Sao Torcato, Braga...and more! The home is well equipped to cook, clean, wash and enjoy the great outdoors - nice patio outback, including three balonies. Best of all, Ivone's communication is prompt and her trip tips endless. She has several places to rent, so finding the right accommodation for you, your family or with friends, is possible. Our month stay was magical.

I would give 10 stars if possible! The place is just amazing, Paulo and Isabelle created a beautiful paradise with a breathtaking view and everything one needs for an unforgettable holiday. Excellent stay at Luis's. Impeccable accommodation. Quiet environment. A little far from the center of Braga. But Luis advised us on a free parking area that was very useful to us. A bus passes by the accommodation.

The location was first class with stunning views. The location was about 20 minutes from the nearest restaurants and supermatkets.

The accommodation, in the center of the city, is as it appears in the photos: a country house in the middle of the city. Antonio is very friendly and attentive. We had a bit of a problem with the bathroom I fix it quickly and very effectively. Undoubtedly to recommend and go back!!

The amazing house with its beautiful surrounding felt like a little paradise for us - the best place to relax, enjoy nature but also has great options for hiking or other activities. We can highly recommend this gem plus the owners raquel und miguel are super friendly :-)

Accommodation exactly as in the photos, quiet location, practical for being a few meters from a market and other points of interest. About 10 minutes by car to the center of Guimarães. Self check-in was super practical and with the password we had access to the safe with the keys. The house was extremely clean and the central heating was certainly a differential, providing the necessary thermal comfort on the coldest days we were there. When we arrived at the site, the house was already heated! The kitchen is well equipped and served us beyond our expectations. The garage accommodates a large car well, as it has a table for socializing. It's a great family accommodation. If you are looking for tranquility with comfort, this is the ideal space.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

We had a great three-day stay. The place was private, with a spacious bedroom, balcony, and two bathrooms. It was perfect for our dog — we could walk him off-leash in the village. We all enjoyed drinking the cool, fresh water from the mountain fountain! The lake access was a nice bonus. The host was very welcoming and gave great local recommendations. A relaxing and comfortable stay overall! :)

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Beautifully designed apartment with a great atmosphere and beautiful views of the river in a quiet neighborhood. It's an easy walk into the middle of town - about ten minutes for us. We enjoyed the pool too! Highly recommended.

Náhir and her Sister are great hosts responded very quickly when we needed help. Their place is very cozy and central highly recommended when staying in Porto.

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.
