The cottage is located on the banks of the clear Marukawa River. Gifu is famous for Shirakawago and Hida Takayama, but Enbara is also a nice place in the mountains, although it is inconvenient. The scenery of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a place rich in nature where monkeys and deer appear. The Enbara River is known as the most beautiful underground water in Japan and a famous spot for its light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of the underground water, so the water transparency is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On summer mornings, depending on the weather conditions, you can see a magical view of the sunlight pouring through the trees. The water in the Marukara River is cold, but in summer the children play in the river energetically. The riverbed is much cooler, so people can escape the heat and cool off. A little downstream there are several river play spots, and the water is clear everywhere and it feels good to swim beautifully. The water of the river shines emerald green in a slightly deep place, and the scenery of rocks and moss is also wonderful, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can relax while watching the river, BBQ, swing in a hammock while listening to the river, or refresh yourself in the tent sauna.

Hida has many tourist attractions such as Shirakawago, Okuhida Onsen Village, and Shinhotaka Ropeway. There is a bus from Takayama City, making it easy to visit. This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Kusa no Niwa | 100-Year Machiya Lodge in Takayama

Kusa no Niwa is a traditional Japanese-style house with a courtyard and corridors that was built more than 130 years ago. The entire house with a size of 100 square meters will be lent privately to a single group with a maximum capacity of 6 persons. You will find a fusuma, a sliding door with a paper panel, painted by a famous Japanese Painter, which can be also found in the Taue’s House, an Important Cultural Property, located in Nyukawa Town.
