Welcome to our beautiful Victorian home located in the quaint town of McGregor, Iowa. Our 2,800 sq. ft. home was built during McGregor's early years as a Mississippi River boom town. Attractions include antiquing, biking, fishing, hunting, hiking and boating! We're a short drive from Pike's Peak, Effigy Mounds and Prairie du Chien. Situated alongside the Mississippi River, wildlife abounds in every season. With eagles nesting nearby, there is always something new to see from the beautiful sunrises, cruise ships passing by, and watching the commerce of the barges and railroad right out the front window! This home has been recently refurbished and sits at the edge of our 15 acres. We have 2 dogs and welcome well-behaved pets. You can see us and visit with us if you like, or you can maintain privacy 10 acres away!

Hayden's Hideout

Hayden's Hideout apartment is just two blocks from the river on Schiller Street and within walking distance of everything you need in downtown Guttenberg! Completely overhauled in 2020 with central air, furnace and fiber internet from Alpine Communications. Fully furnished private bathroom and kitchen. Adults only, no pets and no smoking. Conveniently located 150 feet from the Guttenberg Brewing Company where they are now serving food! Including food trucks every Thursday and Saturday!

Our little spot is right on the mighty Mississippi river, a beautiful spot to relax, fish, bird watch including eagles! We feature a large deck facing the water to enjoy morning coffee or an evening cocktail to watch sunsets. The log cabin was built as a place to unwind, relax, and truly unplug. Nestled among 15 acres of rolling hills, the cabin can serve as a place to hunker down and read three novels, or a home base for hiking, cycling and putting the nature back in your life. Be advised, there is NO television and that’s for good reason. Cook, drink, eat, play, relax and refresh yourself. Wake up to the songs of birds and listen to the owls at night while you’re warming yourself around a bonfire.
