Cottage holiday rentals in Gwithian

My partner and I had a great stay here for a long weekend. The place was so peaceful and quiet but close to amenities. The bed in particular was so comfortable, something I find hard to find at Airbnb’s! Claire and her husband were such lovely hosts and even gave us some free home grown eggs for breakfast. Plus lots of local recommendations. The local is good for seeing both the north and south coast. Easy to get the train too if you don’t fancy driving. 100% would come back and recommend the others too!

Clare’s place is beautiful, and surrounded by acres of fields. No one on top of you, just peace and quiet. The bungalow is clean and tidy and Clare had baked some gorgeous cakes and left lots of goodies in the fridge for us. It was great having a dishwasher too. Highly recommended. And 100% pre book restaurants as they get busy.

Lovely cottage in a stunning location. Excellent hosting, nice welcome treat (thanks!). The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, we catered in and didn't eat out at all. The lounge is comfortable but sadly the weather was far too warm to justify lighting the log burner! Wifi was great, we streamed a film one evening without issue. The location is incredible, loads of walks directly from the door, including up to castle ruins just at the top of the hill. To be able to stomp up the hill to the prehistoric stones and watch the sun set over the sea, then stroll back down at dusk to sit in the hot tub and watch the stars come out, was truly magical.

The loveliest cottage and the nicest hosts 💗 if you’re looking for a homely and warm airbnb, this is a perfect choice. Vince and Becky are amazing, recommended a lot of great places to us and made sure we felt well looked after and welcome!

Fiona was a fantastic host, loads of info and very friendly. the house is perfect for a family stay and we loved the cream teas left for us. there is tea and coffee and lots of other handy bits. cupboards full of everything could need like pots pans cling film tuppawear... the main bed was very comfy and cot bed provided. the jacuzzi was great but we unfortunately didn't use the pool as we were too busy seeing the sights. the garden is amazing and we felt very at home. We really loved our stay and we would definitely come back and recommend it to our friends and family.

This is our second visit to Isabel’s fantastic cottage. It’s a great find, very clean, comfortable and just beautiful. We love Hayle and regularly visit family with our dog George. We would highly recommend. The cottage is in an ideal spot to great beaches, walks, shops and the train station. Many thanks for all the extras.

Nic was very quick to respond to all my questions and gave perfect directions to the cottage. The cottage was absolutely perfect! Wonderful high ceilings, plenty of space for us, kitchen was well stocked with an absolutely lovely welcome basket that we enjoyed on the outside patio. Opening the windows and feeling the fresh air and hearing the sea was perfect. The bed was very comfortable; bedding and pillows were perfect. Nothing at all to say negative about the cottage. Literally perfect in every way for us. The center of Marazion was only a few minutes to walk to and had so much to offer. We truly enjoyed our stay here so very much and have fallen in love with Marazion and the friendly people. Definitely recommend and will plan on visiting again!

This is our second stay at the cottage. Like before everything is just perfect. The location is so close to the beaches and shops. The cottage is just beautiful inside with everything you need for your stay. Victoria and Sarah are fantastic hosts who provide all the information you need prior to your visit. We can’t wait to stay again real soon!!

This was our second stay at Sharon's barn and we will definitely come back again. It's in a great location, has all the bits and pieces you need for a week's holiday and is incredibly comfortable. the bed is very comfy and we slept soundly, waking ready for a walk to the beach for a swim.

Beautiful and very comfortable place to stay with lovely views across to Falmouth

A small, very cosy and tastefully furnished cottage with a unique atmosphere. Nothing is missing. The owner is very friendly and attentive. The Miners Arms pub is a two-minute walk away and serves good meals. We would love to come here again.

Alfreds Cottage was easy to find, clean and made cosy a couple of cooler evening with the log fire. Wood and kindling available at Co-op. We didn't have a car, but local buses are just round the corner and centre of St Ives in walking distance, the up hill walk home was no problem. We ventured out to walk coastal paths, returning by bus. Also took train to Penzance, and Carbis bay. There is a big Tesco store at Carbis bay, the bus takes you there direct from main road near property. The coastal walks and beaches to visit around St Ives are just magic.. we did have fantastic sunny days though ;) Lisa answers queries promptly.. we sent a few suggestions when we left that we thought needed sorting.. Absolutely stunning! spent a week here and it's the loveliest little spot, small but perfectly sized for 2 and a dog. Absolutely lovely host, left little treats for us on arrival and had recommendations in the area but also not intrusive. The cottage itself is perfect, so homey and had everything we could need. we used the log burner every evening while playing one of the board games provided and it was so cozy and nice. The area is absolutely wonderful, beautiful views, path right down to the beach, and so many lovely walks right of the door, we did the majority of our daily outings as a straight walk from the cottage and watched the sunset from the beach each night. the photos really do not do this place justice, it is truly absolutely stunning and we would LOVE to return !

My wife & I along with our 3 month old baby spent a week at William's cottage. William is an attentive host, providing clear instructions and assisting with any questions we had in a punctual manner. We primarily used the cottage as a base to explore the area each day and it was a perfect place to come home to. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard with modern fittings. We noted how quiet and cozy the cottage is in the evenings. Porthleven is a small town and the cottage is a 5 minute walk from the harbour. Kota Kai is definitely a recommended restaurant as family friendly and excellent food.

Just returned from staying at Rebecca's wonderful, quaint fisherman's cottage,set in beautiful Mousehole. Perfect little escape, with everything required for my first romantic escape with my new partner. Couldn't have asked for anything more from Rebecca. Lovely cottage in a peaceful location and a short drive from great beaches. We especially liked the nearby community farm shop for food and drink and we did some great local hikes including along the coast path, which runs very nearby. Cottage very clean and comfortable; we had everything we needed and communication from Holly and Anne was fantastic.

We had a wonderful stay with our 2-year-old at Alex’s place. The home was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxing visit. Alex and his family were incredibly kind and welcoming, offering great local tips, including some excellent brewery recommendations! Location is excellent - with the region's best beach only minutes away. What made our stay truly special was the thoughtful surprise: handmade Easter decorations just for our little one. It was such a sweet and memorable touch. Highly recommend this place for a great private stay in Cornwall.

Wonderful house. Everything you want for a family stay. We cooked a lot and the equipment was good quality and loads of it. Fab location. 10 min walk to beach (v hilly) and lovely train station. 3 min rail ride to St Ives which is a fab town. We all had a wonderful stay. Thank you

We had a fabulous stay at Roger and Polly's cottage. The location was great for choice of amazing beaches and sights. Information given in advance was helpful, check in very straightforward and hosts very responsive. The cottage itself was really cosy and clean, the beds all super comfy with lovely bedding and all the other amenities perfect. Our kids had a great time pottering around the garden and going for little walks with us down the quiet lane in the evening to see the cows. Thanks so much for having us stay :) we hope to come back again

We are regular visitors to Gwithian and love the area. The cottage is in the perfect location. We had friends stay in the house last year so knew what to expect and we weren’t disappointed. The cottage is clean, spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. We would definitely stay at the cottage again.
