Haast cottage is set on a private section with sea views - beach access is an easy 5 minutes walk away. A perfect base to get away from the hustle of city life and enjoy why UNESCO included this area in it's Te Wahipounamu World Heritage listing. There are numerous short and longer day walks nearby as well as scenic flights, jetboating and guided hunting and fishing excursions. Excellent dining options are available at Jackson Bay and Haast (20 minutes in either direction).
“Self contained house, completely off the grid. Would stop again if in the area, book full of local tips inside! Quite far away from shops/places to eat/amenities. Would stop again if in the area.”

“After having always just passed through Haast on our way north or south, we decided to take it slowly this time. Robyn's place is fantastic - large, has all essentials for making your own breakfast and cell coverage is fine. There are lots of things to explore around Haast just to the north and towards Jacksons Bay that stopping makes a lot of sense. If you are after some raw nature without the tourists, this is the place to go. We had a great time and wonderful stay.”
