Elegant Apt in Award Winning Garden

A gorgeous, modern studio apartment, with private entrance, set in one of the most elegant gardens in the Pioneer Valley. A short walk from downtown, terrific restaurants, delis, hot tub spa, great bakery, Emily Dickinson's house, brewpub, and Amherst Cinema, yet near lovely walking, biking, hiking trails, it has intimate views of the garden from its many windows and patio door. There is a gazebo set in the garden offering a shady viewpoint to appreciate the flower/foliage splendor. (It is a four season garden so it is provides beautiful views even in winter.) The queen bed is extremely comfortable; the studio is elegant but simply furnished with bamboo floors, beautiful artwork, rugs and wall murals. The kitchen has small fridge, microwave, electric kettle, utensils, plates and cups. The bathroom is small but well appointed with tiled tub/shower and more garden view. Plenty of closet space in apartment. Wi-fi is free and works even outside. A large screen is available for casting onto from your tablet, phone, or computer (for example, casting onto screen your Netflix or HBOgo) Driveway Parking. No pets. No smoking. Accommodates only 1 or 2 people. A futon is available for separate sleeping arrangements.

Centrally located in the 5 college area. Close to Route 9, and the Norwottuck Rail Trail. Amherst and Northampton are both less than 10 minutes away by car. We are set on a working vegetable farm, we also have chickens, goats and pigs. The apartment shares a porch with the main house, but once inside you are completely private. Come enjoy the pioneer valley. Great place for hiking, kayaking, biking and so much more. *I was a Superhost for 3 years - downgraded due to an unexpected cancelation

The suite is a private 600 sq ft hand crafted studio with private entrance, bath w/shower, large deck w/Adirondack chairs and grill, views of the gardens and 100' from the historic Mill River right behind the house. This is an entire apartment, close to downtown. It is on the third floor, so you will have to walk up two flights of stairs. Because there are dormers (peaked areas in the ceiling), especially tall people might feel a little cramped in this space. There is a king size bed in the bedroom, a living area that includes a kitchenette, dining area, seating area and a smart TV with a fire stick, and a large bathroom. Outdoor seating on the front porch is for your use only.

The reviews say it all! We'll make you comfortable in our classy, colorful and convenient basement garden apartment on the Hadley/Amherst line. Close proximity to all schools in the Five College Consortium, we are surrounded by the fertile farmlands, beautiful mountains and happy valley....with a view of the UMass campus a mile away as the crow flys. Culture abounds! Due to families traveling from afar during graduation weekends, we require a 3 night minimum.

Large Quirky Sunny Farmhouse Apartment

The apartment is spacious, bright, and sunny. Full of charming and quirky old details like original windows, hardwood floors, and not many right angles. Definitely not a vanilla box. The furnishings are clean and comfortable and go with the farmhouse feel. Please note that the private staircase used to access the apartment is original to the house. It is steep by contemporary standards and the tread depths are all a little wonky.
