Am I sleeping in an art gallery? Or is it a botanical garden? Or a wine making lab? My host in Maxcunú, Adolfo, is a retired university researcher. He’s an agronomy engineer, but has several hobbies he’s passionate about, always focused primarily on the culture and lands of the Maya. My room, called "Tropical Birds", has remarkable works of art, and indeed, the whole property is covered with fascinating artworks. Adolfo volunteered to pick me up and drop me off at the Tren Maya station, which in any case is near town. It's a pleasant small town, safe to walk at night. Apart from Adolfo's own art gallery and botanical gardens and a few places around the plaza, there's not a lot of touristic interest right in town, but it's well located for several Maya sites, caves, and walking in the hills. The facility is as described with all the things you'd expect in a good airbnb. This is one place where conversation with the host is a definite plus, with his extraordinary wealth of knowledge.

I highly recommend it, especially if you want a nice peacreful and relaxing getaway. We were expecting a very simple place but the place is absolutely beautiful! I also didn't expect to be greeted with a nice refreshing drink. I didn't know they had animals too which made the experience even better. you can tell the staff takes care of their animals and land. The staff is also very nice, respectful and professional. Definitely will be staying here again very soon.

The San Julio hotel is located in front of the beach, the room is clean, with a minibar and air conditioning. The place is so pleasant and just what you need for a break, they have loungers in front of the beach, which is beautiful, so that all day, if that's what you're looking for, you're enjoying the sea, the service was very friendly. If you want a place with a prime location and a beautiful view, this is your best option. we would definitely come back.
