Wonderful, peaceful 3 nights at Coffee Safari, Chikmagalur. Approx 6-7km from town, easily found. Beautiful property covering 22 acres of plantations. Loved the pond with ducks/fish & the constant bird sounds. Perfect spot to read on the verandah and see sunrises. Enjoyed walks around the property/coffee fields. Owner & caretaker John were super friendly & helpful with local tips. They made sure we are well taken care of. Excellent stay, recommended for a calm and peaceful chickmanglur trip :)

Nestled in a scenic estate, the cottages are a labour of love (a Trupti and Samrat production). Cottages are well designed, elegant with a lovely sit out, where one can sit for hours in the company of bird-songs. A great stay stands on three pillars - comfort, hosts and the food. Trupti planned the meals, taking special care to make it diabetes friendly - meals wich were well executed by Ratna-akka and team. Hirvate Estate's food was creative and superlative. Trupti made our stay special - with a walking tour of the estate, an insight into its rich history, and fascinating anecdotes. If you are lucky, you will get to spend time with Trupti and Samrat - and be regaled with stories spanning across timelines and continents. Stories of friendships, love and unlikely heroes. Had an incredible stay at this place—absolutely worth it. The property was spotless and well-maintained, with a stunning lakeside view that instantly puts your mind at ease. If you’re looking to disconnect from the chaos of city life and just breathe, this is the spot. A special shoutout to Geetha, who welcomed us warmly, took great care of us throughout, and cooked delicious meals that made the stay even more memorable. Her hospitality was top-tier. Highly recommend this place to anyone who values peace, cleanliness, and genuine care. Will definitely be back

Had a wonderful stay at Kalarava Homestay in Chikmagalur! The property is very well maintained with a peaceful and refreshing ambience. It’s a perfect getaway for those looking to relax amidst nature. The owner is extremely humble and down-to-earth, which made our experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chikmagalur!

1. Around 45 minutes from Chikmagalur and 30 minutes from Belur — close to Mudigere and Nandipura. 2. The cottage is in a big 25-acre coffee estate — quiet and nicely made. 3. It has two cosy rooms and a small kitchen with a microwave, fridge, toaster, and water purifier. 4. The host is kind, helpful, and knows the area well. 5. The food was really tasty — we enjoyed every meal. 6. Great place to relax and do nothing. 7. Weather was perfect in mid-May — around 18°C at night. 8. It feels private, but now and then you might hear trucks or buses going by.

Nestled amidst a large coffee estate, the stay is a peaceful little escape into nature. Quaint, simple, and neat — just what we needed. Perfect if you’re planning to be out and about most of the day and want a quiet, no-fuss place to unwind. We even spotted peacocks and monkeys around! The last stretch from the main road is a kaccha road, so it’s best to have your own vehicle — especially since the good restaurants are about 8 km away. Swiggy does work, but the options aren’t always great. Wi-Fi was surprisingly fast and super reliable, which was a big plus. Airtel reception was patchy. The host was extremely soft-spoken and kind, and made us feel right at home.

This place is a hidden gem. Situated right in the coffee estate forest with mountains in the backdrop, this place is best suited if you really want to disconnect and spend good 2D/N in the nature. I loved the 4 kms off road drive to the homestay. Anyone who has decent experience of driving can take their car without any issue or damage. I had a long sedan and it took mininal efforts to take it up and down. The place is extremely serene, has just 3 cabins, which offers great privacy to your stay. You get your own private bonfire as well in the night. Caretaker and cook aunty is awesome. The highlight is the home cooked food which was finger licking. I would suggest to have all three meals there. While there was no mobile network, the place had high speed internet and wifi which would stream any OTT easily. We were fortunate to get the rains as well. We would definitely pay a visit to this place once again.
