Sunshine Coast Studio Suite Overlooking the Water

Relax + unwind in our cozy guest suite w an amazing view of the water. You won't find another rental on the coast like ours. There're walking trails just outside our door & it's a 5 min drive (45 min walk) to a great trail walk at Smuggler's Cove. We have a SMALL KITCHENETTE and NO STOVE more details about the kitchen below. The dock is completely off limits & not part of the rental. If you are caught using it on camera you will be asked to leave the rental immediately. No smoking at all.

Excellent setting, landscape does well to screen for visual privacy but you can still hear your neighbour. The forest hot tub was absolutely lovely. Stacked washer and dryer was a great amenity. Perfect for a couple or family where privacy inside the home wasn’t a big issue. Location wise: Not far from the ferry. Walkable to a nice rocky beach. Short drive to Cooper’s Green Park which has a nice sandy beach. The hosts also recommended Garden Bay Lake, Trout Lake and Roberts Lake for nearby spots to check out. Short drive to Sechelt or Halfmoon Bay. Future guests, it’s a tough road to turn safely into as it occurs between two bends in the highway so definitely be cautious!

Adorable Micro Cabin in Nature with Wood Stove

I booked Karen’s micro cabin as a birthday trip for my mom, and it was absolutely perfect. Tucked into the peaceful forest of Halfmoon Bay, this cozy little retreat is full of charm and warmth. The wood stove kept us toasty in the evenings, and we especially loved the adorable outdoor shower—with very hot running water! It was such a unique and refreshing way to start the day. We did a beautiful hike through Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park, just a short drive away, and came back to total peace and quiet in the woods. The cabin is thoughtfully designed, super clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Karen was very responsive and helpful throughout our trip, and we felt truly taken care of. This was such a special experience—one we’ll both remember for a long time. Highly recommend!

This place is really special and exactly as it looks in the photos (but better in person!) We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace in the mornings, and listening to the local birds in the trees that surround the cabin. The view from the terrace is really magnificent!! We also indulged in the wood fired hot tub to make the most out of the beautiful forest surroundings. This stay was really one to remember, and I'm already dreaming about coming back another time. The roadside parking space had plenty of room for one car, two vehicles would be a tight squeeze.

We really enjoyed our stay at Joseph's. He was a very friendly host and provided great information about the location and things close by. The unit was very clean and well organized. This included a very comfy bed with great covers, a couch & a tv, a small but very functional kitchen (stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, good supply of plates, glasses, cutlery, pots and utensils, coffee pot). Some tea, coffee, salt, pepper, etc were also supplied. The bathroom had a nice shower stall, toilet and sink and long counter. Nice towels were supplied. It was very quiet with a nice view of the ocean across the street. The front was beautifully landscaped with a nice sitting area. We would definitely stay here again.
