The space is accessed via a couple of steps with the open plan living area all on ground level consisting of a king size bed with luxury linen. The lodge is surrounded by the fabulous Shropshire hills, a mile to the nearest pub yet just 10-15 minute away from the centre of Shrewsbury. There is a private seating area outside the front of the lodge and access to the pony paddocks if you have a dog that needs a run! We are situated on the outskirts of a private residential area, just 400 metres from the centre of the historic market town of Welshpool, there are various shops, supermarkets, pubs & restaurants. The magnificent Powis castle is a short walk from the town centre, through the beautiful parkland. Other attractions include Montgomery canal & light railway.

Red House Cottage (self catering cottage)

Modern, very comfortable and very clean. Sleeps 4, double ensuite room and double/twin room also ensuite. Outside area, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. In a quiet village setting with two pubs serving food within a two minutes walk of the cottage. Free wifi, smart TV’s in bedrooms. Until recently Red House Cottage was run as a B&B but the owners decided to fit a kitchen to create a self contained cottage for self catering holidays. The cottage is on the side of our home.
