You can’t beat the location. Easy walk to Hanalei Bay beach for surf. Short drive to the state park or to Anini beach for calm snorkeling. Walk to the Hanalei bread company for breakfast and coffee. It’s beautiful. The house was clean and well appointed. Lack of air conditioning was not a problem for us with windows and sliding doors open. The second bedroom entrance is outside down the elevated deck. This was fine for us, but might be a problem if traveling with small children.

One of a kind views of Hanalei Bay / Bali Hai 9202

This property is all about the view -- the most breathtaking sight ever from the extra-wide balcony with a 180-degree, unobstructed views. We have travelled a lot, but I have never seen anything like this. We felt incredibly blessed to be able to see the sun rise and set and very often a rainbow -- all from the comfort of our room. The unit was comfortable, quiet, and met our needs. The grounds are exceptional, and we really enjoyed eating at Happy Talk, as it looked out over the pool that looked like a stone cove, complete with waterfall. The big downside of this property is having to pay for parking that is a very long walk from the unit, in addition to paying a daily resort fee. While Laurie can't help that, it does take away a bit of the joy, especially since HBR now shares the small beach with 1Hotel next-door. Nevertheless, I can say that even the most experienced traveler would be impressed with this unit, as it is perfectly situated to soak in the best of Hanalei Bay.
