Harul is an untouched place offering its serenity and calmness to its guests. This place is 40 kms away from Chakrata but man o man what amazing drive and view you get on the way to this homestay. The place is very peaceful and is right fit for you if you are looking for something earthy and soothing. The hosts Neelam, Rahul and their two pawsome pups Moscow and Mia are everything you want in such experiences i.e., friendly and interactive. They made us feel right at home. Neelam makes sure all the guests are very comfortable right from the time they set foot in the property and makes sure everyone eats on time and personally accompanies them on evening treks. Speaking of food, since the place is secluded with not much of food placed around, the food offered at the property is super tasty and feels like you are eating ghar ka khana and at a very nominal price. All in all this place is full of warmth because of the hosts and I can visit them again because it felt like home.

We loved our stay at Ridgeview Cottages, Chakrata. The location, the staff and the food were all such a treat. Chakrata is basically a place where one comes to relax. This is the ideal place to do just that. Full marks for this property.

Arvina home stay, hosted by Arvina stands out firstly for its host, Arvina. Without her, this place wouldn't be what it is. She is a gracious host with great local recommendations, a delightful cook and a good conversationalist. The place is really clean and well set up. It's walkable from the Chakrata market and therefore close to most everything. Getting luggage up is a little hard with the Chakrata streets and the steps. That would be my only concern. otherwise the place is amazing. I wouldn't mind visiting again.

It was an amazing stay. Shiraz & Sohail are young energetic person who will guide you to there best of knowledge for surrounding areas. They are extremely welcoming and at the same time knows how to give people their space. There luxury huts are very well maintain. Hope they will open there cafe soon. This place is amazing. 10 nights flew by here. Raithal is amazing and this is the best location, as it borders the national forest - so no one is above you. We also stayed another place above Raithal and it lacked the charm and isolation. Also, Naveen is amazing - professional, kind, a good cook, and cares about his guests having a peaceful experience. Also, Raithal is a great place to visit because the unique village, culture and views - the views are great because you're high up on an open terrace. There are plenty of day hikes, they keep you well fed, and we got good enough internet from Airtel that we could work in the evenings. Highly recommend a longer stay here, and I would much prefer staying here over Harsil due to the views and feeling of isolation.

An amazing homestay in raithal with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. praveen and his family are so friendly, caring and generous and the food they prepare is really good. the rooms have a homely feeling to them and the shared bathroom is modern and clean. you can trek from there to the beautiful dayara bugyal and other places around and praveen will help you with whatever you need. if you want to feel welcomed in a remote place like raithal, then raithal barbeque homestay is the perfect place for you...

Our stay at Dopaar by the Brook was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene setting and warm hospitality. The location is a perfect blend of tranquility and natural beauty, ideal for families, friends, or solo travelers escaping city life. The room was clean and spacious, with wooden ceilings and walls adding charm. The cozy atmosphere, beautiful dining spaces, and delicious food made our stay delightful. The brook added a soothing soundtrack, and the outdoor seating areas were perfect for relaxing. Special thanks to our host Nikhil, who was incredibly responsive. He promptly arranged an affordable vehicle for us from Dehradun to Chakrata. Kudos to Niresh for picking us up, showing us around, and sharing fascinating stories about the places we visited. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a peaceful and safe retreat. A request to all tourists: Please be responsible and do not litter with plastic waste. Respect nature and the local community.

It was a good experience staying at The Hosteller. The staff was responsive and took good care of me. The food at the on-site cafe was also good, with plenty of options. While I stayed in a private room, I would say it’s an ideal place to stay if you’re coming with a group, like college friends.
