Cottage holiday rentals in Hartland

Lovely cottage, had everything we needed for a great week. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. All the crockery, utensils and pans you need for cooking. Hot tub was certainly a favourite and well used! Nice to have plastic ‘glasses’ for use outside. Great selection of games was a nice surprise. Being able to walk the dog right from the doorstep made it so easy - we really enjoyed exploring the smallholding. Hosts were very quick to respond with answers and support. Yes, the Tesco delivery man did manage to find us and unload :-)

We had a beautiful week at The Cart Barn, beautiful location with beautiful views and a private garden which was perfect for our pooch! we spent most of our evenings watching the beautiful cows out the garden! the hot tub was a lovely addition and the barn had everything we needed to make ourselves and our dog feel at home! Some great recommendations in the welcome book and from the owners of local things to do! Will definitely be returning in the future! :)

Just back home after 5 very relaxing nights at The Net Loft. A beautiful, secluded hideaway with everything anyone could want/need for a few days away. The accommodation is extremely well equipped with the best appliances. The bed is so comfortable! With the bifold doors open sitting in the lounge area was so relaxing. It is a quick walk into the centre of Croyde where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to appeal to all tastes and budgets. Would definitely recommend The Net Loft. We will definitely be back. The place was really nice and absolutely spotless when we got there. Nigel and Perry were both very nice and helpful and responded very quickly to messages. The only things is one of the windows didn’t have a blind which made it very bright in the mornings and struggled to sleep in. Also the sat nav brought us in a different direction from the directions on the listing which was a little confusing but Nigel was stood outside waiting for us when we arrived so wasn’t really a problem. Just something to mention. Overall it was a really nice stay and would recommend.

A fabulous little hideaway perfect for dogs! Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing break! The secure garden meant the dogs could roam freely and every detail was thought of. The house was immaculate and really comfortable and a great central base for exploring Cornwall. We WILL be back!

What an amazing stay! It was everything we were hoping for and more. The cottage had everything we needed and also some nice personal touches too. It was so relaxing sitting in the hot tub, listening and watching the birds . The weather was a little unsettled for us but not a problem, as we could sit in the summer house, and look out at the lovely view and our neighbours the sheep! Claire was very responsive with messaging and will look forward to visiting again soon. 🙂

Lesley’s place was perfect for our needs. It was peaceful and it was close to all of the things we wanted to do in the area. The cottage was clean, the kitchen has everything we needed to cook and eat in. It was a bit of a climb to get to the entrance and it was two floors, so anyone with mobility issues should look at that. However, we had a great stay in a very beautiful part of the UK.

Would definitely stay here again. Lovely, peaceful surroundings. Hosts thought of everything, all the little thoughtful details made it so welcoming. You can tell that these hosts care. Thank-you.

A haven of tranquility and peace. Right on the coast path which has stunning views. We walked to Spekes waterfall then onto Docton Mill for one of their award winning cream teas before walking 'home'. A beautiful walk which took about three hours plus time at the cafe. Hartland Quay is only a 16 minute drive and the walks around there are divine. The cottage had everything we needed. A lovely big bed, seats outside to enjoy the morning sun, a field for the dog to enjoy and much more. We thoroughly enjoyed our short time here (and also enjoyed chatting to Chris and Alan, and not forgetting Lola the friendly cockapoo, who were happy for us to share their garden and loungers.)

We stayed at Carla and Johns place for a long weekend and absolutely loved it, I stayed with my parents and siblings - it was the perfect size, I was worried about space at first as we’re all adults however I found that the place was big enough to have our own space. There is 3 toilets which is very handy when travelling in a group. It was very cosy, clean and the hot tub was the icing on the cake! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway.

Melinda's Cottage was warm and welcoming with plenty of room for 2 adults and dogs. We found the cottage surprisingly cool amidst a mini heatwave. Evenings are a delight with no light or noise pollution (sleepers paradise) The garden is a sun trap with some shade available and perfect for outside dining. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. A steep decent to Bucks Mills beach, however for a large sandy beach, Westwood Ho! is only a 10 minute drive away. Melinda's Cottage is surrounded by a woodland valley which has an abundance of nature to enjoy on your walks. To sum up a fantastic place to stay and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

it's our second stay at Fish Cottage, the kids love it, we love it. As we are originally from devon we can access all our favourite places on day trips due to the location so really works for us Cottage is spacious, interesting and really well equipped and comfortable for our family. will continue each year if we can !! thankyou

Lovely clean house in beautiful surroundings. Lot's walks nearby.

Maypall Cottage was a home from home. Beautifully decorated, everything you could wish for on our short holiday break. St Tudy is a lovely friendly village, local village community shop, brilliant pub and restaurant. Just a few minutes drive from the beautiful beaches at Rock and Daymer, great for dog walking. We loved it.

Fantastic cottage in peaceful surroundings. Close to pub, walks and the coast. Would definitely return.

Beautiful warm cozy converted barn in a remote village in North Devon between Bideford, Bude and Launceston. Road access is single track for 1.5 miles approx which gets a bit muddy in the winter but it's perfect if you want a peaceful location with lovely sunrise views and friendly curious chickens! We visited Hartland, Bude, Boscastle and Crackington Haven were all fairly easy to get to.

A beautiful little cottage with lovely grounds and a great view, in an extremely quiet location. Nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, it felt very homely. Having two bathrooms was a bonus! We felt very at home.

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous cottage! It is a beautiful cottage and perfect walking distance to the pub at the bottom of the road! The house is bright and surprisingly spacious! The conservatory and the garden are a sun trap and we spent a lot of time there.. our daughter took her first steps in the conservatory so it’s a very special place to us! The hosts are responsive, clear and very friendly. Port Isaac is a lovely little village and everyone was so lovely. A gorgeous cottage in a spectacular part of the world!

Had a wonderful stay at this lovely Bideford cottage. Beds were super comfy, spotless and clean, and had everything we needed. Fully kitted kitchen. The cottage was so cosy and felt at home. The host was incredibly responsive, and the peaceful surroundings made for a perfect getaway. Plus, it's a great base for visiting so many places. Highly recommend. What a beautiful and peaceful spot. My two friends and I booked the house and the one room annex so we had plenty of space. The home was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed plus some. The beds and linens were lovely. The location is a bit remote so be aware that services are not close by. That being said once we arrived we were so happy we booked as the location is just beautiful.

This a lovely place to spend some time. A warm welcome. A spotless house with everything we needed and videos to introduce us to the various parts of the house and the additional facilities. The pub across the way (2 min walk) was full of locals when we arrived including our owners. Friendly and filled with chatter, make it a nice place to be with good local food and cider. We did do some local walking, in a very green and pleasant land. Although the walk back up from Welcombe Mouth should be taken slowly. We did cross the border into Cornwall and visited Bude which is a lovely place to walk around. We also had a meal in Atlantic Bay and then walked a short way admiring the strength of the waves as they rushed towards the shore. Going back to the cottage didn't mean the end of our day. It's a welcoming and relaxing place, perfect for a nice quiet evening to talk about your day and make plans for tomorrow.
