    Why are the Airbnb Experiences I booked cancelled?

    On 11 March 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of COVID-19 to be a global pandemic. Based on the guidance of governments and public health experts regarding social distancing, Airbnb Experiences were paused on 18 March 2020, and the pause will continue through at least 28 June 2020 for many countries in order to protect the health and safety of our community.

    We believe that taking this action in the short-term is necessary to do our part to slow the spread of the virus, and in the long-term preserve experiences as a trusted way to connect with others throughout the world.

    What happens to reservations

    If you had a reservation between 18 March and 28 June 2020, the reservation has been automatically cancelled. You have received a full refund, including a refund of all Airbnb service fees, and will receive a $25 USD coupon to use on a future experience.

    Booking experiences after 28 June

    You can book any experience that is available after 28 June. Airbnb will continue to monitor the situation globally, and will update our community if the situation changes.

    Airbnb Experiences cancellation policies

    Once Airbnb Experiences resume, the experiences cancellation policy will apply to any cancellation. Cancellations related to COVID-19 are addressed under our extenuating circumstances policy.
