This is a great stopover for people flying from East Midlands airport as it's a mere 10 minute drive, the M1 and M42 motorways can be reached in minutes, it's a central location for cities such as Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Birmingham, also close to Loughborough which is a great for visiting students. Cyclists can step out of the front door onto the NCN 6 route which leads onto the cloud trail which goes all the way to Derby. Walkers will be spoilt for choice only being minutes away from the famous Bradgate Park, Calke Abbey and Staunton Harold.

Great stay in a lovely location. The room was clean, cosy and easy to check in to. The host was responsive to my queries and happy to accommodate us. The very generous breakfast offerings (at no additional charge!) were a pleasant surprise, the kitchen was adequately appointed with everything we needed to self cater. The little village is absolutely beautiful to walk through with pubs and restaurants on your doorstep. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

It was absolutely perfect super clean, a whole cupboard of pots and pans plates cutlery etc to use!! Kettle and tv etc in room and use of own bathroom. Would definitely stay again.
