KAIWA NO SATO This old house is an indigo mansion built in the first year of the Bunsei era (1804) during the heyday of indigo. The main house and the sleeping area (a barn where indigo was stored) have been demolished due to aging, but the historic living room and garden have been preserved to allow guests to experience a little bit of that time, and it is used as a farmhouse inn. In the old days, "Indigofera" grew on the fertile land of the Yoshino River basin in Tokushima Prefecture, bringing great wealth to Tokushima Prefecture (Awa Province). Ancient documents on indigo, including cultural properties, are also available for viewing. The house, which was my home, was broadcast in the Kagawa version of "Potsun to Ikkenka", and I bought it in the 9th year after moving. It also came with 7,000 tsubo of farmland and forest. The main house has been fully renovated into a hotel and the barn into a mountain bookstore. The fields and forests are currently being developed! There are no houses nearby, and the only neighbor is a charcoal kiln in the prefecture. Surrounded by the great nature of the countryside, you can enjoy a luxurious time. In the five areas, we make firewood and charcoal, and there is a facility for dismantling and processing wild game. * We also sell safe and secure game meat for firewood and charcoal. You can enjoy a BBQ plan or a campfire, and in winter you can enjoy a fire in the wood stove in the hotel.
