Our accommodation is located just off the Hikone Interchange on the Meishin Expressway (about 5 minutes by car), and is ideal as a base for sightseeing in Shiga and Biwako, as well as an intermediate accommodation during family and group trips (long-distance travel). There are many restaurants around Hikone Interchange, and there are also hot spring facilities and supermarkets, which are very convenient. This is a guest house in a 120-year-old house that was renovated with the concept of "nostalgic and new" in a town of Omi Hino merchants overlooking Mt. Mimaki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture. Hino-cho's townscape is also nostalgic and heartwarming, In the corner of such a town, "Mt. Moiwa Village" was born in the first year of the Reiwa Dynasty. The accommodation is limited to one group. Storage site: The Western-style room can be used by 3 people, with 2 beds and 1 folding bed, and the Japanese-style room can accommodate 3 people with Japanese futons, for a total of up to 6 people. This land with its old-fashioned townscape and famous water is hot in summer and cold in winter. But that's why the rice, vegetables, and meat are also delicious. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

"Kyoto's Inn Kansuke" is a 1-building rental townhouse located 5 minutes on foot from Keihan Kiyomizu-gojo Station.

Our inn was apparently built in the early Showa period. We have renovated the bathroom and kitchen areas to make your stay more comfortable while still retaining the charm of the townhouse, such as the low ceilings and narrow, steep stairs. Tabitabi Shinsen | Kyoto Machiya near Nijo Castle

The name Shinsen comes from one of the oldest famous courtyard in Kyoto during Heian Period, "Shinsenen", which is located near our house.
