OPEN March 20, 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies the quiet, one-day, one-group-only traditional Japanese inn, B&B Mori no Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner handmade by the owner are included (please refer to the photos). ⚫︎ We can also accommodate pescatarian and vegetarian meals. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the space is reserved for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time freely, just like when you rent the entire property. A spacious area of approximately 230 m² can accommodate up to 8 people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also easy access to Yoshinoyama, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kimpusenji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roofs while creating a comfortable environment for your stay.The tranquility of the mountains, the soft light that illuminates the night.Here, you can take a break from your daily routine. Due to the abundant natural environment, we recommend that you come by car. (If you wish, we can arrange transportation to and from the nearest train station.) A　rustic Japanese village getaway

Experience a stay in a traditional Japanese house, tucked inside the forested mountains of the Yoshino Valley. This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. The house sits just above an idyllic swimming spot, perfect for families to enjoy the cool, clear waters Guests will have the full property to themselves, which includes a handmade cedar bathtub with views across the river. There is also outdoor space to enjoy barbecuing under the stars.

A Satoyama Private Retreat in Nara

A private Satoyama retreat in the mountains of Nara, just 20 minutes from the city. This traditional one-group-per-day house is renovated with reclaimed wood and uses fresh mountain spring water. Enjoy hands-on cooking with organic rice and vegetables from our farm. Relax in a wood-fired bath, and in the morning experience a Japanese tea ceremony surrounded by nature. Dinner options include Japanese meal or pizza making. Our meal service is available for parties of two or more guests.

Hinoki house: Traditional machiya, walk to sights.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

およそ築100年、大正時代の本格日本家屋のゲストハウスを一棟貸し切りして頂けます。 気兼ねなく、奈良に暮らすようにゆっくりお過ごし頂けます。 奈良公園のすぐ側、近鉄奈良駅まで徒歩約10分。 早朝や夕暮れの静かな時間の散策も容易です。 4名様まで同料金です。最大9名様までご宿泊頂けます。 格子の窓や茶室、縁側、中庭、大正時代に建てられた日本家屋は趣で魅力いっぱいです。 中庭に面した掘り炬燵のあるリビングでゆっくり団欒して下さい。 キッチンは、IHコンロ、電子レンジ、トースター、冷蔵庫、ポット、調理道具などが揃っています。 みんなで料理して、庭を見ながら掘りごたつでお鍋を囲むなど、楽しくお過ごし下さい！ トイレとシャワールームは二か所ずつございます。 ホテルのような設備はございませんが、懐かしい情緒とゆっくりお過ごし頂けると幸いです。 お部屋は寝室だけで合計3部屋（大きい和室を分割すれば4部屋）ございます。 人数に合わせてご用意させて頂きます。 部屋割りなどにご希望がございましたらご連絡下さい。

Our house is traditional Japanese style house. 150 years old and in a very quiet location. We are renting house. Not shared with other guests. There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.

550m Cool Forest｜BBQ, Bonfire, Treehouse

HoToLo is a private villa for one group per day in the forest of Soni Village, Nara. It appeared as a filming location in Episode 22 of NHK’s night drama “Radio☆Star.” At 550m above sea level, enjoy cool summer air, a treehouse, BBQ, stargazing, and peaceful forest time. On Aug. 14, you can watch Soni Village’s fireworks from HoToLo. A fully equipped kitchen is available for self-catering.
