OPEN March 20, 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies the quiet, one-day, one-group-only traditional Japanese inn, B&B Mori no Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner handmade by the owner are included (please refer to the photos). ⚫︎ We can also accommodate pescatarian and vegetarian meals. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the space is reserved for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time freely, just like when you rent the entire property. A spacious area of approximately 230 m² can accommodate up to 8 people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also easy access to Yoshinoyama, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kimpusenji Temple, a World Heritage Site. We have preserved the historic beams and tiled roofs while creating a comfortable environment for your stay.The tranquility of the mountains, the soft light that illuminates the night.Here, you can take a break from your daily routine. Makomo House is located in a mountain village at an altitude of 500 m on the Oku-Mikawa Plateau in Nara The 100-year-old house is a private rental. Makomo-no-ta, which is said to be "the grass where God dwells", spreads around the inn, and you can relax in your room and feel the "Makomo breeze". You can enjoy the "Medicinal Herb Makomo Bath" at the Irori back table and the Goemon bath, where the well water is heated with firewood. There is no TV or wifi, so why not turn off your digital devices and turn on your own sensibilities? Enjoy the soothing sounds of nature, such as the rustling of makomo leaves, the babbling of the river, the chirping of birds, the chorus of frogs, and the sound of deer.

The house sits just above an idyllic swimming spot, perfect for families to enjoy the cool, clear waters Guests will have the full property to themselves, which includes a handmade cedar bathtub with views across the river. There is also outdoor space to enjoy barbecuing under the stars.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.

HoToLo is a private villa for one group per day in the forest of Soni Village, Nara. It appeared as a filming location in Episode 22 of NHK’s night drama “Radio☆Star.” At 550m above sea level, enjoy cool summer air, a treehouse, BBQ, stargazing, and peaceful forest time. On Aug. 14, you can watch Soni Village’s fireworks from HoToLo. A fully equipped kitchen is available for self-catering.
