Rødhættes Hus is a tiny house, which is peaceful and idyllic on the shore of Kovad Bækken, in a clearing in the middle of Rold Skov and overlooking the meadow and forest. Just a stone's throw from the beautiful forest lake St. Øksø. The perfect starting point for hiking and mountain biking in Rold Forest and Rebild Hills or as a quiet shelter in the tranquility of the forest, from which life can be enjoyed, perhaps with the mouse owl hovering over the meadow, the squirrel darting up the tree trunk, a good book in front of the wood stove or coziness in the firelight at night.

The house is located in the garden by the town's oldest fishing house from 1777 and has its own entrance from the street. Opposite is the Old Inn, which was a customs house in the old days when the salt (the white gold) was sailed here from Læsø by the Cathedral's sailing ship

The cottage

"The cabin" is a fully insulated wooden cabin with underfloor heating in all rooms. Large living room with kitchen (sofa bed), one room (sofa bed), toilet with bath and a large loft. The “cabin” is 66 m2 and was newly built in 2017. It is located at the bottom of our garden in a private villa area overlooking open fields and trail systems close to forest and beach. The house is in itself simply furnished, but caters to all everyday needs.
