Our One bedroom house and cedar hot tub are the perfect base for exploring the gorgeous West Coast of New Zealand. Surrounded by native bush with everything you need for a restful, cosy stay. The remote location offers privacy and seclusion for an indulgent holiday with loved ones and friends. Self-catering and self-check-in, with beautiful sea views. Guests love our well-equipped kitchens, large comfortable beds, and secluded location. Walking access to the beach is 10 minutes, offsite.

The Bach

Kick back and relax in our kiwi bach with amazing lake views! Reminiscent of the colorful retro bach’s from the old days but with more modern comforts we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do. Ideal for a cosy weekend away for two or for a fun adventure for two couples, it can be a space to unwind, listen to music and tuck into a cheeseboard or a space for a monopoly tournament over a few gins. The lake is a favorite with trout fisherman and warm enough for a dip in Summer.

Wonderful views of lake and mountains; Centrally located easy walking to moana village and lakes edge. Quiet BBQ area, for guests to use, out the back of property. Queen bed and single bed all in one room, single Murphy bed in lounge room. We have cats whom are very friendly please advise if you don’t like cats, as one is particularly smoochy. Owners live onsite, next too the guesthouse / Chalet Guesthouse is up an elevated driveway, to take advantage of spectacular views.

Gumboot Paradise Eco Stay

Experience a taste of tiny living on the Wild West Coast at Gumboot Paradise. Surrounded by bush, a tropical food forest and vegetable garden, "The Hut" Eco Stay is fully off grid and comes complete with wood fired bush bath, fire pit, composting toilet and a separate shower with a view of the sky. A five minute walk from the beach and a 10 min drive to the famous pancake rocks. Gumboot Paradise is situated on one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world.

River & Trail Camping Pod

Secluded & cosy ‘off-grid’ Eco camping pod overlooking the Hokitika River, right next to the West Coast Wilderness cycling trail. Located in a private setting you have the space to yourselves. Equipped with an outdoor hot shower, camp style kitchen with running water. There is no power or wifi so you can enjoy the natural surroundings. So sit back and enjoy the glorious West Coast sunsets. Located only 3km from Hokitika town and beach and 3km from the airport.

Lake Kaniere Lodge

Lake Kaniere Lodge is situated 20 minutes east of Hokitika in a Scenic Reserve at the south end of Lake Kaniere and all Scenic Reserve rules must be respected. Parties can travel via the Lakeside Drive or through Kokatahi. The Lodge accommodates up to 40 individuals (in two 17-person bunk rooms and two 3-person quarters) and has most modern appliances, excluding cell phone reception and internet access. Users need to supply their own bedding.

Geo Dome

We have 4 fabulous Geo Domes available for Glamping it up by the beach. Its been a while in the making, but they are next level luxury. Each Dome is fully self contained with a smart kitchenette, full bathroom, dressing room, lounge / dining area, Queen sized bed with quality linens, fluffy towels, robes and slippers! Each stay of 2 nights accommodation includes a 1hr Hot Tub private session. Subject to availability.

The Church House

This older style 3- bedroom home doesnt get any closer to Hokitika township. Located right in the CBD, it is a couple hundred metres from every amenity you need....the beach, restaurants, New World, shops etc etc. It has a large private backyard, with seating, fireplace and BBQ area. Please note: this house DOES NOT have a table & chairs and dishwasher.

Hokitika Firestation - Chief Shain Studio

CHIEF SHAIN - As part of the newly converted Hokitika Firestation building this tranquil studio apartment sits on the upper level. Offering a naturally light space with views of Hokitika township. Fully equipped with a sparkling, modern kitchenette, ensuite bathroom and a generous king-size bed plus queen-sized sofa bed.
