Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Homosassa

Very cute place. Right on the canals, outstanding outdoor areas screened in porch high top on the back deck. We have the opportunity to meet Sam. He was an amazing host. Definitely will rebook if I’m back in that area. The Freezer restaurant is at the end of the road and within walking distance food was amazing!

I cannot recommend or compliment Madison and her Mason Creek House enough, we absolutely loved it here and everything was perfect. We were greeted with snacks, beverages, and a birthday cake cookie for my husbands birthday in the kitchen. The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. We loved hanging out on the covered back porch and using the grill. The kayaks were a really cool bonus to take off the private pier, which was also a great view. Everything was just awesome. 10/10, highly recommend and would love to go again. 😊

Joy's and Joe's place was a really treat to stay at. It was excellent being right on the river and have everything you need available to you. From conidments in the fridge to the kayaks and paddleboard everything was ready to use and go. Rhey even made a little surprise for my Girlfriend for her birthday. Bueatiful house excellent host 10 out 10.

This was our second stay at Relaxing Retreat. We appreciated it even more the second time. As soon as you enter, a Florida vibe surrounds you and it's squeaky clean. Dana and Larry provide all the extras that make a stay super special..... like a welcome snack basket, all the kitchen and bathroom amenities you could ask for, a super clear and informative welcome binder and so much more. Communication from the start until the end was prompt, friendly and helpful. We hope to come again. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. We were in town for a family Christmas, and it was wonderful to have our own accommodations. There was plenty of space, a ton of amenities, and communication was frequent and thorough. We did have a bit of trouble getting in, and our hosts quickly resolved the issue and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. I highly recommend working with Brit and Brandon and staying at their beautiful property.

We have stayed multiple times at Joann’s and it never disappoints. Clean, close to nature and oh so comfortable.

Perfect location and home for a large family get away, including a baby and dog. Lots of space for everyone. There’s a great upstairs loft with multiple kid beds and a crib that would be perfect for a lot of small kids. Open kitchen and living room space for everyone to gather. Dock on the canal that you can fish on and a little clearing in the trees that you can drop kayaks in. Very short paddle out to the spring head. The canal literally empties out to the spring and it’s a beautiful spot with lots of manatees. There’s two sit on top kayaks and a paddle board in the car port storage. There is a small propane grill to use, just bring your own propane. Chelsea was always communicative and was quick to respond, such as about a cleaning issue upon check in. I appreciated her prompt replies. Also wanted to note it was a great value for how big the place is and how many people it holds - Recommend this home for large families looking to get out and have some fun at the springs !

Great little spot! This is the second time I come and stay here because the price and location is hard to beat.. we saw baby dolphin jumping right behind the house at sunset time, manatee, and along the river there were otters and deer and just so much beauty! Staying here is one of the easiest ways to see the Weekiwachee River. It has everything you need: AC beds with clean linens, clean kitchen and bathroom. Be sure to be prepared to share the outside area though! There is another rental above and the yard is a shared space (something I forgot all about.) Everyone we encountered from above was very nice. Also noticed the kayaks were upgraded since my last visit! Wonderful weekend all in all. Will be back.

2nd time staying with Aldo and once again he never disappoints. Greta stay and will be back if I’m in the area again.

Regina was friendly and helpful host, and we had a wonderful stay. She went above and beyond to help us with local recommendations. I was very grateful that she had bikes and her tandem kayak available for us to borrow to explore the area. We would love to return again to see the manatees!

We will stay here again when in the Brooksville area. Such an amazing historic place. The stairs are steep, so if you are not confident on your feet you might want a different place. The neighborhood is excellent and quiet. Walk to restaurants. Very clean. We love this place. I could live here. Wide open space, lots of little extras like snacks and coffee. Great value for the money.

We felt right at home and even decided to extend our trip here. Had and still having an amazing time.

Nice place I recommended

Kristi's place is a nature lover's paradise. Birders bring your binoculars! I came for a peaceful relaxing getaway and this place delivered. I came in May and I was able to watch both the sunrise and sunset right from the balcony. Kristi's place is clean and had everything I needed to feel at home. Nestled up above the mangroves, I sat and watched various Florida sea birds glide by me - Roseate Spoonbills, Ibises, Ospreys, Herons and Egrets just to name a few. And I saw dolphins too! There's a dock on the propery where you can fish, and launch a kayak from the shore. This place is a real gem and Kristi is the perfect host. I'll definately be back!

I had a good stay. Nice quiet place. I felt comfortable every night. I would definitely stay there again.

The condo/apartment was nice. It was clean. It match the description. The other residents were friendly. It was not very noisy from local traffic. Mark was very responsive. We didn't need the local lady for anything.

This was the first time I stayed at Geri's place and it was wonderful. Even though I was staying in a condo, the entire complex was very quiet and peaceful. Geri was very responsive and I will definitely consider staying here again when I am back in the area.

We loved our weekend getaway here! Sitting on the deck was so peaceful. So many seabirds and we saw dolphins soon after we arrived. The condo had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfy and we enjoyed playing the games they had available. We rented a golf cart and drove around the island and just enjoyed the peaceful scenery of Cedar Key. Ken and Marylee were fantastic with communication from start to finish. We would absolutely stay at their condo again on our next trip to Cedar Key.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was perfect. Pretty scenery from 1st floor. The amenities of the pool, and game room were family friendly. private beach , nature walk were a delight. Will definitely be back.

loved the area and condo. We had a nice view of the pool, lagoon and Gulf. Condo had everything we needed. We saw dolphins and manatees. All restaurants we tried were great. Mike was a wonderful host and we would love to come again.
