“Seb and Sam are amazing hosts, the property is gorgeous, and it was a perfect anniversary setting. We booked during the COVID crisis, and Seb, and we’ll as Cristy and Mar, went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, from a special anniversary dinner, to local tips, to a hospital trip for medication refills. They truly went above and beyond, and we are grateful for the amazing service!! The property is stunning, pool is perfect, and truly was a breath of calm during this time. We would book again in a heartbeat!”

“We really enjoyed our vacation in Palawan, we had three weeks in Casa de Alberto and it was the perfect place to drop our bags and explore Palawan to our liking! We are lovers of good food and Puerto Princesa really has everything to offer on this side! Several exceptional restaurants can be found less than 10 minutes from the villa! The most paradisiacal and least crowded beach is definitely Nagtabon Beach, we went there more than once! The villa is a reasonable distance from the most beautiful attractions of Palawan especially if you rent a car. In my opinion, El Nido is not very good in one day but rather two! Port Barton is doing very well round trip. The villa itself is magnificent! The very well maintained pool! The very well equipped kitchen for a villa in Asia !! All bedrooms are comfortable and there are 4 bathrooms and 3 showers! The boys who take care of the house are very friendly and are always there to help no matter what you need! Nidas is very easy to communicate to coordinate your transport to massages at home if you need ... We had some problems following our accommodation due to a canceled flight and Nidas quickly found us a plan B, c was more than appreciated! Thanks again for everything!!”

“HOSTS ARE BEYOND AMAZING! If you want to be in the jungle with beautiful trees and relaxing atmosphere only 40 mins from the main city, this is the perfect getaway. You can do a lot of tourist things on this island but still want to experience the true local vibes and people. IM A TRAVELER from California USA and have lived in Philippines on and off for about a year in different islands. Palawan was new to me and the underground river was the main reason we visited. Best to take the Van tour through the host. At first I tried to save money by driving rented scooter up to underground river (1 hour gorgeous drive) but they canceled tour due to sea waves increasing. Thus they allowed the Van tours priority. So we just wandered and walked in Sabang beach town and then a couple days later went with the Van tour (Lester was tourguide and was really helpful and funny). I tipped him after. 50-100p is a nice tip. WALKING : This place is out of the main raod and is a hidden peaceful gem. But you can and should enjoy taking a short walk to the main road and say hi to locals hanging at store fronts. Ask them how to say Tagalod words or impress them with the words you know and they will light up like a christmas tree as its a sign of respect to learn the language. While most say there isnt any place to walk, I say besides the store fronts and a few houses there isnt nuch close. But we walked 45 mins back the way we came from airport and found the next barungay (neighborhood) eventually. Stopped and bought some water, then asked if a tricycle could drive us back to main road by Hosts place. A fair 20 pesos each is fine (only 6-7 min drive). Though I know filipino culture pretty well, I still enjoyed just watching all the people and they way of life style here. So, take a walk and bring a nice flashlight always (my favorite travel tool, I went all out and bought LAPD water proof rechargable flshlight and use it every place I travel). SAFETY: People are really nice in the area and it is safe. If youre a 1st timer to philippines and look different than a Filipino, expect everyone to be looking at you all the time. They dont want to kill you or something... it is like me seeing an exotic animal wandering down my street, I have to look because usually I only see on TV. So what do I do when everyone is watching me? I look them straight in the eyes and say, "Kamusta ka?" (how are you) and smile. They instantly laugh and smile back. Then say "magandang dito" (it is beautifully here. Friendly people! THE FOOD: The airbnb host has great chefs. Im usually vegitarian and thankful they made me delicious chopsuey and garlic rice. But if youre planning to cook some of your stay, it is advised to buy some food in puerto princess near airport or that main town because youll only find some of what you need for cooking locally (eggs, onions, garlic, canned meat, etc). ALSO, CHERISH IS AMAZING BAKER. I asked her about BUKO PIE (coconut pie which you need to try) and she said she would bake it for me! It was full pie and fresh and best one ive ever had. 250p was price at the time I stayed 12/2019 and that was really fair :). EXTRA TIPS: When travelling in island jungle areas, there are natural wild animals and other creatures. Please when going through your bags, use a flashlight or and shake your clothing, shoes, and whatever was sitting in your room for a while unattended. You dont want to put your foot inside a show with a spider or something. Though rooms were really clean, sometimes things may get in when you leave door cracked going in and out (me!). A wonderful place and highly reccomend as first trip to Palawan. Enjoy!!!”
