The Goose Barn - Ideal getaway near Cambridge!

This is a lovely converted barn which we spent many years in and now have outgrown. The barn has one living & dining area, kitchen, hallway, one bathroom and 2 bedrooms. There is a small courtyard to enjoy sitting outside in the summer. We’re extremely close to Cambridge - you can cycle into the centre of town within 25 minutes along a path next to the river Cam. *We will potentially supply a couple of push bikes, if this is something you’re interested in please notify me in advance.

The house is based in a very quiet area but still with easy access to the centre of town and to science Park. Cambridge North railway station is less than a mile away. We always clean properly however the property has old wooden floors which may look a bit shabby. The annexe was built in the 90s.

A newly built, small but practical, self contained annex adjoined to the side of the main house by the side and from the ceiling. It has it's own entrance for privacy and a key safe that allows guests to let themselves in. It's an ideal place for a short term stay and offers good value in a very expensive city. It has a small kitchen area with microwave, toaster, mini fridge and kettle. The annex also has a desk work space and a shower.

The Burrow

A pocket sized but perfectly formed ground floor and self contained annexe. Newly renovated, the design has taken inspiration from a shepherd’s hut to make the most of this tiny space. It has its own entrance to the side of the house using a keysafe so you may come and go as you please. There is parking for one car on the driveway directly in front of the accommodation. Welcome Tray provided. We are unable to accept children and pets.

The double room I stayed in was very good. It was located well for accessing my relative’s house nearby. Everything was exceptionally clean. The power shower was amazing and it helped cool me down in the hot ambient weather. I would definitely recommend. Lorraine was very friendly and happy to assist with any queries.

Lovely, private, peaceful, well maintained accommodation. Very clean and nicely decorated. Suited us down to the ground as there was a secure alleyway to keep our bicycles. Cycling into Cambridge along the river was easy and beautiful. Sarah the host is very approachable and responsive. We had a wonderful stay.

Kay has a fantastic home and I enjoyed my short stay while working in the area. Kay and John are very welcoming and between them, make sure you have what you need. Kay was even kind enought to show me into the village. The house is immaculate and very cosy. I look forward to returning in the future
