Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Huerfano County

Barry’s place was just right for us and our two dogs. The house was clean and cozy with a beautiful view in the backyard where our pups had fun playing. We come this way often and will definitely stay again if possible!!

We cannot recommend this mountain retreat enough!! The location is absolutely stunning, nestled right in the mountains, with a river running past the house. It was the most beautiful backdrop. The house itself was spacious, clean, cosy and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Kids were excited to see deer tracks on the road outside the house! Amanda was very helpful & communicative through the whole process. Loved all the local recommendations. Staying here felt like a little slice of heaven - highly recommend.

We are so excited to find an Air B&B in the Huerfano valley. Our roots are here. My mom taught in the one room school house in Malachite. It was a beautiful space with plenty of room for our families. Great kitchen that was well stocked. Thanks for everything!

This is a gem of a location nestled in the mountains with beautiful views. Just outside the home is an area to sit and look at the stars. The place is cozy and was able to accommodate us at 7 very well with extra spots for sleeping. We didn’t end up camping but there’s room for a couple of tents right outside. The home itself is wonderful. We had all the gear needed along with supporting spices for making meals. Additionally, the hosts are available to support with anything you need at all. If we are to ever come back to the sand dunes to visit, we are definitely considering here first to stay. It was only 30 minutes from the national park and yet well secluded for your stay. You won’t regret staying here!

My stay at Donnie & Carly's cabin was incredible. From the start they were very responsive & helpful with any questions I had. They even made a special trip to drop off a hairdryer since it was missing! The views are breathtaking & it was so quiet & peaceful. There's a nice reservoir only 5 minutes away. It was a perfect, relaxing getaway.

Stayed just south of Pueblo, CO. It was so peaceful and the property was beautiful. Great mountain views from a working ranch. The whole family was sad to leave! If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the Pueblo area you should definitely check this place out!

We have stayed in AirBnBs in La Veta for years. Andrew's was one of the nicest by far! Comfortable and well equipped, close to Main Street, yet quiet at night. Will return for sure!

Carol and Ron were amazing hosts. The cabin is a beauty in the beautiful location. Great for long stays and short ones. Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms are perfect. Great place if you are planning trips around Peak Blanca, Spanish peaks, Alamosa, the Dunes....Or even is you are looking for a quiet experience in the countryside.

It's better than the pictures! We immediately felt right at home. Melinda had everything we needed and then some. The furniture was exceedingly comfortable; we wanted to take the couches home! The kitchen was stocked with anything we could need, and the gas stove was a joy to cook on. The views were fantastic, and we loved the peace and quiet. Our dogs also enjoyed their stay with a wonderful fenced backyard to roam. If you are looking for a low-key getaway that feels like your second home the moment you walk in the door, look no further!

We loved the views! It was beautiful. But for Tent Camping, definitely check for wind warnings. We all got 0 sleep. The wind was so intense and loud, and making our tent pop. Our friends had the same experience with us too.

This spot is super cool! My wife initially wanted to go camping but I was not very thrilled about sleeping in a tent so I thought this would be a good alternative lol. Took us only 2 hours to get there from Colorado Springs. I had no idea how beautiful Westcliffe was until this weekend. Its a beautiful and scenic location with a ton of wild life, and our two German Shepherds loved it too. However, you definitely need the right vehicle to reach the entrance, which was a good test for my new truck (I was going 2 mph in rock crawl mode haha). This may not be everyone’s cup of tea but If you’re looking for a quiet, off the grid, old school cabin experience with wildly beautiful views, this is your spot.

We loved staying at this place! It was right next to a beautiful creek. We saw deer multiple times. Nigel was a great host. He communicated very well and made sure we had everything we needed. We met him as well and he was very nice. We will be staying here again if we come visit this area.

Lovely place to camp out. So peaceful and quiet. We only saw one person the entire trip and they were only driving by. Otherwise it was private and secluded with no foot or car traffic. Definitely want to visit again sometime

Great place, well equipped, lots of space. Arica was very responsive, and when we needed help figuring out the A/C & heat, help was immediately on the way. The lofts are super spacious and well furnished. Very pleasant stay. Would be a great place to spend an entire vacation in the area.

My bird dog Molly and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home has every single thing you could possibly want or need on vacation. Molly loved watching for deer and birds from the patio overlooking the Cuchara River. I loved the luxurious bedding and comfortable mattress! It has a chef’s dream of a kitchen, too. Tanya was quick to respond when I reached out and so kind. We will be back!

Staying at the mirror dome was an unforgettable experience. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, surrounded by nature, with peaceful views that made it easy to disconnect and unwind. The dome itself is a unique blend of comfort and adventure, perfectly suited for a "glamping" experience. We even got to see some wildlife during our stay! All that to say, what truly made the stay exceptional was the host. I generally pick self check-in options and keep to myself but decided to touch base with Austin when we arrived. As a host he is kind, welcoming, and genuinely one of the most extraordinary humans I've met. His openness and thoughtfulness elevated the entire experience, making us feel not just cared for, but truly at home in this very special place. Looking forward to returning soon!
