The location is exceptional, located hillside in a beautiful nature reserve, still very close to the downtown Reykjavik, 20 min drive. In winter Dec-March 4x4 car is essential in Iceland. No public transport. Enjoy the hot tube in the evening and watch for the Northern Lights, then rest inside and amid wood paneling that extends to the vaulted ceilings, and look out forest-wards from the deck. Cosy cottage 2 close to Reykjavík - hot tub

The cottage is cosy and it has everything you need to make a perfect meal in the kitchen or you can use the gas grill outside the cottage. It´s close to the sea and you can see the seals play along the shore. The cottage although small is ideal for 2-4 person. There is a free WIFI and on the veranda is a private hot tub where you can soak while enjoying the view. There is no light pollution here like in Reykjavik or in towns and therefore ideal location for watching the Northern Lights.

The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.
