We spent a wonderful two days in Kristin's Selfoss home and had a great time! Kristin is extremely friendly and helpful, she responded to our every question quickly and with great information. The house's location is magical with a beautiful view of the river. It's very clean, close to attractions and conveniences, well stocked and had everything we needed. We especially appreciated the kitchen and washer/dryer. Our stay here and Kristin served as an excellent introduction to Iceland and we're very grateful for that! Stay here, you won't regret it!

We had the pleasure of staying at Thorsteinn’s place, and I couldn't have been more impressed with the experience. Despite our late arrival, Kristin went above and beyond to ensure a warm welcome, greeting us in the driveway with a friendly smile and the keys to the property. She even presented us with a delicious chocolate treat, a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for the entire stay. Her kindness and hospitality made us feel instantly at home, which was much appreciated after a long day of travel. The accommodation itself was immaculate, providing a clean and comfortable space to relax and unwind. It was evident that the host took great care in maintaining the property, as everything was spotless and well-organized. The peaceful ambiance allowed us to get a good night's rest, which was crucial as we had a flight the next day. Overall, I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Iceland.

Our family of four stayed for one night and had a great experience. The apartment is in a central spot for exploring the area, with an amazing food hall just steps away. The space was spotless, very comfortable, and thoughtfully stocked. We didn’t want for anything. We even did a load of laundry, which was a big help in keeping us clean and fresh on our travels. Communication with the host was clear and easy. We would absolutely stay again.

Great place to stay. A fully furnished 2 bedroom penthouse with all the amenities and utilities available right within the town. Highly recommended.

We, My husband and our two adult children, enjoyed our stay in beautiful Iceland staying at Ernas place. The house is really clean and nice and it is fantastic to follow the daily chances of landscape from the livingroom room and the terrace. Erna and her sons helped us in connection with a few situations we could not resolve ourselves. Its er perfekt place because its located between the most worth-seeing attractions and you can easily plan your trips based on the weather forecast. The best recommendations Dorte and family

Lovely place. Perfect base for travelling. Teens loved the big TVs! Always really warm after a day trip out. Comfortable beds. Plenty of towels. Everything you need. Only one thing not perfect - the hot tub is not like a UK hot tub. It's a big tub you fill with hot water when you want to use it, which takes a while.

The property was easy to find and private. An ideal location on the edge of town but within walking distance to all local amenities. The home is beautiful, comfortable family home, and has everything you could possibly need. The house was warm and clean. Snædís was very welcoming. The local pool is right next to the property for a relaxing swim after a day's sightseeing and hiking. The hot mud springs are a must see and a lovely evening walk. The host left a map of the town which shows the trails around town. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Great place to stay with a toddler! They had a toddler room full of toys which helped keep my kiddo entertained. the bedrooms had blackout curtains which was perfect for Icelandic summer. The house had lots of character which we loved. Easily accessible to grocery store. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our Ring Road journey. It is located on a working horse farm so there are wide open spaces and beautiful horses surrounding the home. The place itself was very clean and by far the largest home we stayed at in Iceland. There were 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, sitting room, kitchen, and laundry room. Full working dryer and washer was a huge help to let us catch up on laundry! There are 2 houses nearby but we never saw anyone else nor heard them - very peaceful. Location is very convenient - under 10 minutes to Hveragerdi and 15 to Selfoss -- both of which offer plenty of options for grocery, restaurant, and fuel. It was about 50 minutes back into Reykjavik from here. Would definitely recommend and stay here again

Valdís place is just perfect - cozy, feels like home and with everything you need. Valdís was very helpful and nice. From the flat its a short walk to a nice hiking area and its also a short ride into the city (bus or car). We loved to stay here and when we visit iceland again we will check if this place is possible to rent 🙂

Very nice place to stay, great location, parking can get a little hectic but that can be expected.

Welcoming and cosy place, as soon as we arrived we found everything very clean and tidy, kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare something to eat, very clean bathroom, room equipped with Smart TV and vacuum cleaner. The owner of the house is always available for any eventuality. If I were to return to Iceland I would gladly book another stay with him.

We had a great stay at Throstur’s place. It was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable on our vacation. More importantly, the place was close to southwest Iceland’s major attractions. It was a 12 minute drive to the capital of Reykjavik, and 40 minutes from KEF airport. Since no other guests have rented here, however, we were a little reluctant to book. But after the overwhelmingly positive reviews of Throstur’s other properties, and our quick and easy communication, we can confidently state we made the correct choice. Throstur and his wife met at us the lobby of their apartment to give us the keys. Throstur was kind enough to provide us with a walkthrough of his house. He was very accommodating and ensured our stay at his property is comfortable. The house is so much better in person than the pictures! Loved the high-end kitchen appliances and furnitures. I loved the balcony, it is super relaxing to stay there watching wild horses from the windows and have a cup of tea or coffee after a long trip around Iceland. The kitchen was fully stocked with essentials we needed. Loved the air fryer, pots, pans and of course the dishwasher!! Thank you to Throstur and his family for making our first visit to Iceland great! I would stay again if in the future, and I would highly recommend Throstur’s place to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Iceland. Throstur, you’re the BEST!!! 🥰😊👍

Great apartment, great owner

We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was spacious, extremely well equipped, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen was amazing, with more tools and utensils than we could ever use. It is about a 10 minute walk to the New Old Selfoss area, where most of the shopping that we used is located. Sindri was responsive to our requests and accommodating to our needs.

What an incredible stay.!! Well appointed accommodations. Amazing views of both the mountains and the ocean. Very modern and clean space. We came with 2 boys and they loved playing in the lawn area, on the piano and stretching out on the couch after long days of hiking. The location is conveniently located to a few markets. Short drive into the city and we enjoyed the tranquility of the location. Apartment was very secure and high up in the building with fantastic scenery. The kitchen was well stocked and we felt right at home. Laundry was a plus and the balcony was perfect for morning coffee. Check in and check out was a breeze, and parking was free and ample. We absolutely loved our stay and are so thankful we chose this apartment for our Icelandic Adventure.

My family and I stayed here for Christmas and New Years! The location was perfect for going in and out of town to look for the northern lights and still close to the city center for shopping! Hradnildur also gave us a list of recommendations which helped us find the hidden gems!
