OPEN March 20, 2026 Nestled in the mountains of Nara and Yoshino, surrounded by greenery, lies the quiet, one-day, one-group-only traditional Japanese inn, B&B Mori no Akari.(The name means "Light of the Forest") ⚫︎ During your stay, breakfast and dinner handmade by the owner are included (please refer to the photos). ⚫︎ We can also accommodate pescatarian and vegetarian meals. The kitchen area is shared with Hotos.The rest of the space is reserved for your exclusive use, and you can enjoy your time freely, just like when you rent the entire property. A spacious area of approximately 230 m² can accommodate up to 8 people.Ideal for family or group trips.There is also easy access to Yoshinoyama, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, and Kimpusenji Temple, a World Heritage Site. Iga Ueno Castle Town Here you can experience the small (modest) life of a townhouse, and there is a 100-year-old townhouse that you can use as a base for walking around the town. 　The characteristic of old-fashioned townhouse living is "small living". The chabudai is used not only as a dining table but also as a study desk, and when folded, the tea room becomes a bed. At dusk, wrap your clothes in a furoshiki and go to the public bath with your geta. 　Rather than the number of things, it may be that the body and mind seek a life that uses effort, time, and wisdom to feel comfortable. 　When you go outside, it's fun to walk around this town where the old townscape remains. In the morning, have breakfast at a coffee shop with morning service. Stop by the gallery on the way. Talking to shop owners and regulars is also a special experience. This land with its old-fashioned townscape and famous water is hot in summer and cold in winter. But that's why the rice, vegetables, and meat are also delicious. There are many areas where nature remains, but few areas where the old townscape remains intact. I want to preserve this townscape. To that end, I want many people to experience a nostalgic way of life and culture. As such a place, we renovated a row house left by our ancestors and opened it as the Daiji, a soy sauce shop that had closed. You are always welcome!
