The cottage is located on the banks of the clear Marukawa River. Gifu is famous for Shirakawago and Hida Takayama, but Enbara is also a nice place in the mountains, although it is inconvenient. The scenery of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a place rich in nature where monkeys and deer appear. The Enbara River is known as the most beautiful underground water in Japan and a famous spot for its light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of the underground water, so the water transparency is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On summer mornings, depending on the weather conditions, you can see a magical view of the sunlight pouring through the trees. The water in the Marukara River is cold, but in summer the children play in the river energetically. The riverbed is much cooler, so people can escape the heat and cool off. A little downstream there are several river play spots, and the water is clear everywhere and it feels good to swim beautifully. The water of the river shines emerald green in a slightly deep place, and the scenery of rocks and moss is also wonderful, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can relax while watching the river, BBQ, swing in a hammock while listening to the river, or refresh yourself in the tent sauna.

　We renovated part of a house in Ichijodani to be exclusively for private lodging. 　It is conveniently located for walking around Ichinotani, with nearby Asaga Kasuga Shrine, which was the Asakura family's war victory prayer place, the Asakura family ruins of Shimosakado, the Asakura family ruins museum and JR Ichinotani station, the Asakura family ruins Karamon, and the restored street. There is a firefly spot nearby, and you can also find them on the premises. 　There is also good access to major tourist destinations in Fukui Prefecture, such as the Dinosaur Museum, Ski Jam Katsuyama, Eihei-ji Temple, Tojinbo, Shibamasa, and the Sand Dome. 　There are no restaurants, supermarkets, or drug stores nearby. The convenience store is also 2.5 km away. 　There is a moss garden on the premises and a lawn that is not well maintained, but if the timing is right, you can enjoy a private cherry blossom viewing and snow play on the premises. 　Because it is a rural area, there are insects and small animals around the facility and sometimes in the room. We renovated a two-story earthen-walled storehouse built in the Edo period and turned it into a guest house. Although it is not spacious, a kitchen with an IH hotplate has been installed on the first floor while retaining the atmosphere of a storehouse with its earthen walls and thick beams. The first and second floors are fully air-conditioned for a comfortable stay. You can experience the soundproofing unique to a storehouse, the coolness in summer, and the warmth in winter. There is a sauna facility about 5 minutes away by car, Anekawa Onsen about 15 minutes away, and Kita-Omi-no-Yu about 20 minutes away. There are many tourist spots unique to Nagahama, which has often been the stage for history, in the surrounding area. Hikone Castle, a national treasure, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Nagahama Castle, Ishida Mitsunari's birthplace, Kotani Castle, one of Japan's premier mountain castles, and Shizugatake, a battlefield, etc. It is also less than a 20-minute drive to the Sekigahara Battle site. Besides the area around Lake Biwa, there are plenty of things to enjoy besides history, such as Nagahama Tetsudo Square, Japan's oldest railway station building, the Yanmar Museum, where children can also play, and Kurokabe Square. You can also enjoy gourmet food such as Omi beef, duck dishes, grilled mackerel somen, noppei udon, salad bread, duck, and small ayu.

In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
