Barn accommodation in Indiana

We have stayed at The Farm a few times and it never disappoints. Stunning property, beautiful accommodations all just a few minutes from DePauw University. We had our extended family with us for graduation and everything was perfect. Lots of space and the wrap around porch is our favorite spot! Can’t wait to stay again.

Nearly 40 of us loved the space. Golf, volleyball, kickball, fishing, elk - plenty to keep kids busy without worries of roaming. Dave stopped to check on us and Wendy helped fix a minor issue. Highly recommend because we are going back next year!

I was back in the area to be with my mother for surgery. This was an ideal place for me to sleep, relax when not busy with appointments, and enjoy a good breakfast each morning. The space is clean, comfortable, and communication with Johanna was a plus. If available next time I return I will likely stay here again.

My husband and I spent the weekend at Sherry’s place for our 30th wedding anniversary. The farm, the lodge and our room was all very peaceful and cozy. We met Cindy upon our arrival and she welcomed us to the farm, showed us around and answered any questions we had. Her enthusiasm for the farm and all it had to offer showed. Everything we needed was there PLUS all kinds of extras. I was wowed by the attention to detail in all the little extras. We had coffees and snacks in the room and there were even Samores kits put together in the kitchen area for guests. There was wood by the fire pits, lighters, fire starter fluid and even cardboard ready to start a fire. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap dispenser was also in the shower in our room. Both Sherry and Cindy checked on us during our stay through texts. All of this AND we were literally minutes away from French Lick Casino and all the town has to offer. We definitely recommend and would stay here again.

The 1938 Barn was a wonderfully secluded peaceful getaway. The barn is full of charm and the bedroom apartment is comfy and clean. Brianna has done a great job renovating the old barn into a lovely stay. We had a fun time playing pool, enjoying the views, and being offline for a short while.

Such a lovely place! Well maintained trails to explore. The instructions to get in and out were super clear + easy to follow. Although they live right next door, we truly felt like we had the place to ourselves. Everything you could need was provided. Close to town, but feels like a country getaway! Hope to return again and again while visiting family in the area.

This property is the perfect get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Plentiful wildlife to sit out on the porches to watch or, as we did, walking around the property. We had the 2 bedroom unit and it was immaculate in cleanliness and comfortably furnished. It was in the 90s on the days we stayed, the air conditioning was perfect. Sandy, the caretaker, left us her number and checked that we didn't need anything whenever she saw us. We definitely will be back!

This place was a great find. Super unique cabin with a fantastic responsive host. There was plenty of room inside and out for our party of 11. I really appreciate the clear and friendly communication from Joe. I also appreciated that the simple things like soap, trash and other necessities were already stocked for us. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay in the country give Red Rose Ranch a chance.

This is my second time starting at Billy’s place and I’ve loved it both times. Sitting on the porch and listening to the sounds of nature and watching the wildlife was rejuvenating for the soul. I saw two deer in the evening and was visited by a hummingbird in the morning! The space was clean and comfortable and well stocked on all the essentials. Billy is a very thoughtful host!

The place was perfect. It was quiet and peaceful but easy to get to. But still close enough to lots of outdoor activities. She even had a cinnamon strusel cake baked for us which was so good. They were very friendly and helpful and answered questions quickly. Definitely would stay again. Thank you Linda!

My family had an amazing time at the farm stay. I don’t even know where to start-friendly animals, friendly staff, lots of things for my kids to explore-they had a blast. We loved hiking the trails and finding hidden spots. Make sure to bring bug spray and check for ticks afterwards. Max the cat following us on every walk was so sweet. We love Timothy the cat as well, he loved spending time in the house with us. Bailey was the sweetest doggy. I’m trying to think of any cons, but we don’t really have any! The inside of the house could use some dusting, but it’s also a farm house, we didn’t expect it to be spotless. If you’re not a fan of animals, especially cats, might not be for you, but it was definitely our vibe!

Beautiful space for peace and relaxation. Many available outdoor activities both near and far. The hosts were very clear in all their instructions and quick to answer questions when needed. Highly recommend.

Privately located and large home & property. Located on the river and provide a nice view. The property had plenty of walking and hiking areas available. It was convenient back into town. A nice place to stay and accommodate our large group.

Appreciated and enjoyed our stay, appreciated the extras you left for us, the eggs in the fridge and coffee options were a nice touch. So nicely decorated, plenty of towels and wash cloths. Appreciated everything!

We had a wonderful stay! The house and the view of the rolling greens hills were beautiful. Other than the train that goes through town (as advertised) it was perfectly quiet. Plus, we were an easy 15 minutes from the beach! The space was so spotless it was almost as if we were the first guests to ever stay there (which made this self-described germaphobe really happy.) The beds were comfortable, the decor and design were lovely, and for us the location was perfect. Andrea was a great host. I would recommend a stay here to anyone!

This home was absolutely stunning. I knew it would be beautiful from the pictures but it was even more incredible in person. Unbelievable quality and thoughtful, homey details throughout the entire space. Very spacious and comfortable. Could have easily stayed there a week! The owners were wonderful, from checking in with me as soon as I checked in to quick communications throughout and even a homemade lemon cake upon arrival! For those visiting Indiana University, it’s an easy 10 minute drive. I’ve been using Airbnb for years and have stayed all over the United States, Paris, London, Costa Rica, etc. - and this is hands down one of my favorites. I plan to stay there again. 10/10 on all levels!

Our family had such a wonderful time here! This place has been done so beautifully and the bedding was absolutely wonderful! It was a great location. We only wish we could have stayed longer, but we definitely hope to return soon!
