This accommodation is limited to one group per day and allows you to enjoy the beauty of the many islands in the Seto Inland Sea and the sunset. Designed by the host, an architect who has won numerous awards overseas. Not extraordinary, but a "delicate life" with the theme of enriching everyday life. You can experience that kind of life here. There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

It is a 2-minute walk from Setoda Port, and you can immediately go to a place where you can see the Seto Inland Sea. There is no view from the facility, but the port and Shiomachi shopping street are close, so you can stroll around the neighborhood and enjoy the port city. The building has been designed to create a comfortable environment while making use of the characteristics of an old private house. The existing exterior walls and structures were insulated and reinforced, but restored to the time when the old house was built. Inside, we made a white box that provides a comfortable environment, and we made it the living room and bedroom. You can relax in a modern Japanese-style design space while staying in an old Japanese house. The bathroom opens to the courtyard with large windows and is full of a sense of freedom. The bathtub and bathroom heating are also equipped to create a comfortable bathroom environment, and privacy is ensured with blinds. It is small but equipped with a kitchen for simple cooking. The entrance is wide and bicycles can be brought inside. There is also a washing machine, so it can accommodate medium to long-term stays. There are also Western-style restaurants, Japanese restaurants, kappo restaurants, and bars nearby, so you can enjoy the local cuisine.

Hi there, This place is more than just a place to stay. Stretched out before us are the Seto Inland Sea and the Shimanami Bridges. A calm sea in the morning, a gentle breeze during the day, and the sunset over the sea in the evening. As time passes, the scenery slowly changes. Just looking outside without doing anything, Before you know it, your attention shifts to your own sensations. It's a place where time like that passes. For BBQs, we offer gas grills for rent (additional fee applies). Please purchase food and beverages at supermarkets or other stores on the island. Spending time outside around a fire naturally leads to conversation. Since the entire building is rented out to a single group per day, You can enjoy your time at your own pace, without worrying about those around you. A sauna is also available (for an additional fee). Warm up your body and feel the outside breeze. This is the only accommodation near Shin-Onomichi Station. The accommodation is a traditional Japanese house, and you will stay in the main house. Limited to one group per day, it can accommodate up to 4 guests. Only one dog can stay with you (but it must be kept in a cage in the tatami room). Because it is close to the Shinkansen, there is noise and vibration every time it passes. It may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to sound. (It is quiet because it does not operate from 11:40 pm to 6:20 am) If you are staying with 2 people, you can have separate bedrooms. Or you can combine two single beds to make a double bed. Please let us know what you need. Please be careful as smoking is not allowed.

We renovated the villa, which was built in the early Showa era and has one of the best views in Onomichi, to be easy to use and functional. While keeping the beauty of the traditional house, we have added comfortable modern innovations to create a space where you can enjoy the nostalgic and good traditional culture of Japan.
