Much is still in its original condition, such as the historic room with walnut buffet, old parquet and tiled stove. It is heated with central heating. All rooms are wood-paneled. The floors can creak when entering - it's just part of the old wooden house. Here you can find rest and still be close to great excursion possibilities. Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. From here the cows were guarded and cheese was made from fresh milk. Gadestatt offers you an authentic overnight accommodation with lots of charm and attention to detail.

The Baerehoehli on the Axalp is the ideal holiday destination for families, small groups and of course everyone else. Dreamlike area, in every season of the year. For hiking or skiing. Ski slope can be reached directly from the house via ski. The access road to Axalp is cleared black in winter and can be reached with simple winter equipment.

My accommodation is in the residential area of a small village close to Brienz and Interlaken. Well developed by public transport. You will love it there because of the cozy chalet atmosphere, fully equipped kitchen and a great view of Lake Brienz. The accommodation is perfect for families (with children) and large groups.
