I had a lovely stay. The staff were so warm and personable and friendly. The area is nice and conveniently close to a number of metro stations to move around Tokyo. Also fairly close to cafes & shops in Ginza. The room was quite spacious for Japanese standards. Only issue was that the wi-fi was not strong enough during my stay. However this did not dampen the overall experience.

Had an excellent week long stay here. Mitsuru-San, the host, communicated very well and made sure I had everything I needed. The area itself is quiet, close to the station, and near some nice restaurants. Recommend for those looking for a convenient and comfortable stay

Such a great find! The flat is stunning and looks exactly as described, spacious and very nicely designed and decorated. The area is also very vibrant, loads of restaurant and the host kindly provide a long list of places to go

Gimmicky. I want to get that out of the way right now. This property is capitalizing off of having an onsen nearby with traditional looking Japanese bedding and decor. That's what got me, and it might be what's getting you...I would say that's probably not worth it. The place itself is fine. The bedding is fine, but in the end I chose this place over other cheaper options for the novelty, I feel I could have gotten a little bit better value elsewhere, but still overall happy with what I got and what I paid. I used the onsen once during my two week stay. I really like onsens, but this one is small, busy, and I just wasn't a fan. Service was awesome. He spoke great English, and helped me bring my heavy luggage up the stairs to my room. Overall, despite starting out critical here, this place is really nice and I like the quiet area next to nice walking paths. Lastly, I wish the place had a small dining table and chairs. You basically have to eat at a small low table on the floor.

Because I booked this room to see SnowMan's concert, it is very close to the station, it is also convenient to carry a suitcase, there are no steps on the road, the room is on the first floor

Flexible check in. We arrived after 10pm and was still able to easily check in. We had our bags delivered and they were already placed in our room. No need to pick it up from the front desk. Washer/dryer combo was used everyday with supplied detergent. We didn't use the kitchen but there is enough to make your own meals for longer stays. Multiple convenience stores nearby as well as restaurants. Our favorites were Boulangerie Noli et Nori for morning baked goods and Byron Bay Coffee Company for coffee. Ubers ranged from 1,600 to 3,000 yen

Tanaka is an incredible host, and everything is exactly as described. We (2 total) stayed at this Airbnb for 4 nights, and have absolutely zero regrets. The unit is compact, but very well thought out, with everything having a place and extremely well laid out. The neighborhood is also top notch. While definitely on the more expensive side in terms of restaurants, you can also find places serving great meals at affordable prices. About a 7 minute walk from the metro, and very easy to get around should you be exploring other neighborhoods. If you’re looking for a quiet but convenient neighborhood with great shopping/restaurant options, this is your place. Lastly, Tanaka was beyond helpful. She went above and beyond in so many ways, from recommendations on where to eat, activities, luggage assistance, and even laundry, which is such a huge help (especially as you’re coming to the end of a trip). 10/10 - so happy we found this place and will certainly rebook on our next visit!

We stayed with 16 adults, but there were also darts and karaoke, so no one was bored and we had a great time! The interior was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable.

Our stay in Tokyo was truly special thanks to this wonderful family. They were incredibly communicative, helpful, and thoughtful-when they heard we were celebrating a birthday, they went out of their way to celebrate with us. The house is in a peaceful, convenient neighborhood with plenty of amenities nearby. Honestly, I'd recommend staying here just for the hosts alone-the comfort of the home and the charm of the area are just added bonuses.

Five stars all the way. Kan was a wonderful host & this house was magic. Everyday was made only better knowing we were returning to this home. Would recommend 100%.

Yasu was the most thoughtful host! He kindly came to pick us up from the station and was so helpful with recommendations and information. There are adult bikes available to use. When we asked Yasu, where we could rent a bike for our 6 year old, he bought one for him! Our son was over the moon and loved cycling around. We explored many parks, and we didn’t cover all of them. I can highly recommend the Traffic Park, for kids. They have bikes and go-carts for the kids(for free). The house is really lovely, spacious and comfortable. Our son, had the room downstairs. He loved the mini foosball table, and having a huge room all to himself. There were welcome snacks and the fridge was packed with food and fruit! The location was also terrific for getting around. We loved it here, and would definitely come back again!

The home is in an excellent location as long as you don’t mind an hour to hour and a half train ride to the heart of Tokyo. There are excellent bakery and bento restaurants right next to the local train station that is only 3-4 minutes away. The home was very clean and notable aesthetically pleasing but was just a tad bit cramped in certain areas including the laundry room and toilet room. The doorways were taller than many other buildings I have been in and the bedrooms were around average on a comfort scale. Overall, this home was a perfect spot for between 2-4 people and served nicely for a place to relax on days where we didn’t plan much sight seeing. The final cherry on top is how wonderful the host is, even going so far as to leave a nice note and some snacks upon arrival.

Google Maps told me to zigzag back and forth, but after going back and forth a few times, the road was simple. There is a large living room on the first floor and two rooms on the second floor, so I rested comfortably before heading out. We loved the quick reply to our questions and the relaxation of checking out. Best,

Fantastic place to stay! There was so much wonderful thought put into all the little things around the house, from the decorations to the numerous amenities. We greatly appreciated all the details, as well as the comfortable, clean home as a whole. We loved the spacious living room for us to all hang out after a long day of traveling, enough for all 6 of us to stay. The walk to station was short and easy, and the area around was peaceful. Fun things things to do near by like Karaoke. Our host was very friendly, quick to respond, and super helpful! Would highly recommend staying here, thank you very much!

This is our second time staying at Shu/Zen House, and once again, it truly feels like a home away from home! Everything was just as great as before. The space is much more generous than a hotel room, and it’s conveniently located near great food spots and a nice supermarket. The host is, as always, very kind and responsive. We’ll definitely make this our top choice whenever we visit Tokyo!

Easy check in, Nice quiet place with large common area. They asked us to clean and put back all dishes along with taking our own garbage down to sorting room to dispose of it ourselves. This wasn't an issue but seemed unusual as it was the only airbnb out of the 7 we stayed with in Japan that had such rules and we were still paying a cleaning fee.

The house was absolutely spotless! It was easy 10-12mins walking distance from Ikebukuro station. 7/11 and shopping malls nearby. Though the house was tiny, I suppose that's the tokyo standard, but cleverly decorated & organized. easily felt at home.

Perfect stay! Extremely close to Oedo line. Walkable distance to Shinjuku. Clean, spacious, safe. Jun was also very kind and responsive. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Host was very responsive, and listing matched descriptions and pictures in the listing. The unit is 3 min walk from train station, which is really convenient. Host explained how to use all appliances. Quick response from host whenever we ask any questions. Would highly recommend this place!!

Superb stay in Shimokitazawa. We really loved the area (enough going on but not as mental as Shibuya). The apartment was a great base for a few days and the tub was a bonus. Thanks, would stay again ⭐️

The residence has everything you need for to rejuvenate after a day out in the city. Amenities include hotel toiletries and vanity kits, coffee, tea, clothes washer and dryer. There is a paid parking lot across the street in case it is needed for a car. Access to trains makes for a quick trip to Haneda airport, Yokohama city center and shopping and an hour ride to center of Tokyo. Also easy access to connect to Shinkansen for day trips. 7-11, Lawson's, and Family Mart are around the corner as well as a walkable shopping area with lots of eateries. The size is great for couples or a family with one small child that doesn't mind sharing the bed or sleeping on a futon.
