Gortex Valley Adventure Cabin is secluded at the end of a dirt road, surrounded by hardwoods, fresh air, and deep snow. The cabin is close access to the Wolverine trail system, and Powderhorn Mountain, with further pedal access onto Copper Peak trails, or into Ironwood for food, drinks, and supplies. This cabin is a small single room rustic setting. Drinking and hot water is provided, and a composting toilet is available. No running water or plumbing. A wood stove and bedding are also provided.

Built in 2022/2023 this cabin is located right on the Manitowish River with 750ft of frontage right off Highway 51 about 3 miles south of Mercer and 7 miles north of Manitowish Waters. The Manitowish River runs into the Bear River which is why the resort is named Twin Rivers Resort. We are located right by the snowmobile, UTV/ATV and hiking/biking trails. You can easily visit small local towns with bars, restaurants and shopping.

Our cabin is very cozy and we want you to feel at home!! We have a large yard for games, campfires, and more. There’s a sauna to enjoy and if it’s raining we have a ping pong table in the basement. Walmart is a straight shot up the road for shopping. The beautiful Black River Parkway is located 20 minutes away where there are hiking trails to 5 different falls, Copper Peak ski jump and Lake Superior beach.

Woodlands Wild Cabin on 35 Acres of Land

This is the oldest cabin on Powderhorn Road & is nestled in 40 wooded acres. The property is located on Powderhorn Road, 1/2 mile North from US 2. We are 1st two gravel driveways on the left (loop drive) just as you crest the hill. The outdoor setting has a spectacular view of the surroundings which includes 2 ponds and a spring fed fountain.
