Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ísafjarðarbær

We stayed in this cabin and used it as a base to explore the Westfjords. What an excellent stay we had! The place was pristinely clean and larger than what we expected after viewing the pictures. There is excellent outdoor space with patio tables on both the front and back decks. Don't be nervous about the outdoor shower...It was an excellent way to start each day! Access to town is only 5 mins by car where you find grocery stores and a few restaurants. Our host provided tons of useful info to guide our journeys and was super responsive. We couldn't have asked for a better home away from home! Also, the Westfjords are ridiculously gorgeous and made for an experience I'll never forget.

Very nice place. it has the charm of the old with modern comfort. The village is charming too, it's a quiet and simple fishing village but has a coffee place with a little shop, a restaurant and a bookstore! Flateyri and Agnar Jón place are a must in the Westfjords.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus von Jona ist sehr gemütlich, hat allen Komfort und nach einer Wanderung in der Nähe von Nupur konnten wir im Whirlpool super entspannen! Es ist eine sehr empfehlenswerte Ausgangslage für Ausflüge in die Westfjorde (Dynjandi etc). Und wir fanden es besser als auf den Fotos dargestellt….

Spacious house with plenty of beds for our group of 6. Very quiet. Took a nice cold plunge in the fjord.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and comfortable and easy to find. It was conveniently close to many things. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again. We saw the northern lights outside 2 evenings in a row. That was a nice bonus.

Die Unterkunft bietet viel Platz. Aufgeteilt auf zwei Stockwerken ist der Wohnraum sehr geräumig. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Im Badezimmer ist alles vorhanden - und auch ist reichlich Toilettenpapier vorhanden (liegt in den Schränken). Wir haben uns in der Unterkunft sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Vermieter - Ingi und Snorri - waren stets erreichbar. Auch Vorschläge waren uns willkommen, beispielsweise in der Nacht bevorstehendes Nordlichtschauspiel. Die Unterkunft liegt mitten, zentral in den Westfjorden. Umgeben von vielen weiteren Fjorden ist es ein atemberaubendes Schauspiel der Natur. Von Nordlichtern in der Nacht, beeindruckende Wasserfälle, im Herbst eine farbenfrohe Hügellandschaft und Schwärme von Vögeln, Seehunden, Wasservögeln, und eine Stille die einen zur Ruhe kommen lässt. Wir kommen wieder!

Cozy apartment in a beautiful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. Host was very helpful and quickly responded to our questions. I would gladly stay there again!

I had such an incredible time in Iceland. The place was very clean when I arrived and the hosts were very communicative. The apartment had everything I needed while I was there for a week. I absolutely will be renting again when I come back in six months.

Very nice spacious apartment with 2 balconies and beautiful views all around in Sudavík. We just needed a place to spend the night and this apartment absolutely exceeded our expectations. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place in a convenient location in my favorite town in all of Iceland. Would have liked some more towels and extra pillows but the place was perfect aside from that!

This condo is beautiful. It’s in a neighborhood near the Bonus supermarket, quiet, peaceful, safe, and close to town, within 8 minutes. The view out the back was stunning. There is even a view to the harbor. The unit was spotless, well equipped, with modern amenities. Owners were gracious and responsive. They came right over within 10 minutes when we couldn’t figure out how to work the washer, drier, the blinds and the stove. An instruction manual would have helped us, as we are 2 senior women! Alexander and his wife are truly wonderful, kind, people. I would not hesitate to recommend their place. Thanks for a great stay and a warm welcome!

What a wonderful and cute space! Very clean and cozy and right in the heart of the town. Was super convenient to walk down the street to our hiking tour, as well as the grocery store. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again :) thank you, amazing hosts!
