Holiday houses in Itanos beach

Beautiful spacious villa set set in the hills above Sitia. Cool, comfortable, stylish and well equipped inside , fabulous large outdoor area with terraces, eating area, shady green garden area and pool with loungers. We enjoyed a great week under cloudless skies chillling at the villa and visting Sitia (good selection of waterfront restaurants ) and surrounds. The best beaches are half hour or more drive away but well worth the trip. The local village Piskokefalo (a short drive away) has a great taverna with simple, good value local dishes. Mania our host was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The welcome pack with home made Moussaka and the surprise little departure gift were lovely touches. Thank you . Highly recommended. PS The Richtis gorge walk is a great outing but wouldn't recommend driving down to Richtis beach - very scary !

The villa was so beautiful, very stylish and fulfilled all of our needs for a peaceful getaway in the sun. Yannis and Zoe left lots of local treats for us to try when we arrived and the whole villa was equipped with thoughtful bits and bobs that were very handy to have! They also sent us a long list of local beach/food recommendations that was extremely useful! Etia is a lovely tiny hamlet and feels very special to have the chance to stay in, the surrounding ruins and landscape make the place private and quiet, perfect if you love nature. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be sure to visit again!

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Ellinka - it is even more beautiful than the photos. The villa itself was immaculate and we loved spending our days by the infinity pool enjoying the spectacular views! Katerina was very responsive, friendly and welcoming and she went above and beyond to look after us during our stay which was much appreciated. The villa is less than a 10 minute drive away from Agios Nikolaus - we enjoyed lots of beautiful dinners there by the lake. We would highly recommend Villa Ellinka! The best air b n b we have ever stayed in.

Iosef is a wonderful host. He made us feel welcome right from the very start. His traditional Cretan home, that he has lovingly restored is truly magical. The views overlooking Sitia are absolutely breathtaking. You are surrounded by wild flowers, olive groves and not forgetting overlooking the turquoise waters of the Agean sea. Anyone who wants to Immerse themselves in nature, Cretan culture, flower scented clean air and perfect stillness. Then Iosef's beautiful home is for you. Iosef thank you so much for your kind hospitality, we enjoyed every single moment, especially the local honey!! We will definitely be back!!

Elpida, a dream house, definitely recommended. Not only the location and the view are sensational, but also the house itself. We (married couple 63/61) were able to enjoy Angelika's unobtrusive and warm hospitality in May 2025 and had a relaxing week in or above the beautiful village of Mochlos. We have nothing to complain about, on the contrary - we have rarely found such a great accommodation. Perfect furnishings and very well-equipped kitchen, always a shady spot and very pleasant insect protection. The steep ascent to the mountain is no problem after the first exercise. The scent of the plants is simply wonderful. We had a wonderful time in Despina's apartment. We liked everything and felt welcome and comfortable. The description is great, the reality is even better. Despina is always helpful and responsive. We had some trouble finding the place. I wrote to Despina and she responded immediately. She arranged a meeting place with us. She was already waiting for us there🙏. We definitely want to come back, there is still so much to discover in eastern Crete. Many thanks, dear Despina and best regards to your mom ❤️

We had an indescribably beautiful time in the windmill. The view and the garden are stunning. Everything is prepared with so much attention to detail. We lacked nothing. In the village you can eat very well. You're just comfortable. We are happy that we were allowed to be there. If you're looking for something special, highly recommend this place.

We felt very comfortable directly upon arrival at the accommodation. There is a fully equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms. There are 2 bedrooms, a "master bedroom" and a "children's bedroom". We initially had some problems with the stove/oven, as the fuse was not set correctly, as you should not use too many electrical appliances at once and have to switch something in the fuse box every now and then. However, we were able to get help quickly and efficiently. There is a path directly past the beautiful garden to the (stone) beach, which we have enjoyed using, but also occasional dog owners or walkers can use this path. The transition of the gardens with the neighbors is fluid, so that the chickens/dogs/cats of the neighbors were sometimes in front of the door, which did not bother us as animal-friendly people. The neighbors have generally been very nice. We liked the east of Crete (explored with a rental car) very much!
