The house sits on the side of Mount Neritos, completely surrounded by terraces of trees, and the stillness is only broken by goat bells that float on the air, cicadas that rattle, and the sea that murmurs just below. The position of the house offers dramatic views and breathtaking sunsets, and Kandiliotika is perfect for those looking for a hidden retreat for painting, writing, composing, yoga, snorkelling, swimming, reading, relaxation and renewal. It’s a small workaday place, never a land of plenty, and even its gradual tourism has not really stemmed the de-population. But it has magnetism, a natural grace, and an energy-giving power which draws in those who need renewal, uplift and inspiration in their lives. Don’t miss a climb at sunset above Exoghi (Out of Earth) to the monastery on the summit, to witness the 360 degree view across the shipping-routes and islands of this archipelago. Based on the small island of Kalamos, built out of stone with wooden floors, the house is bright and has amazing views to the Ionian Sea. It has two separate rooms on the top floor, while the kitchen and bathroom are on the ground floor. The kitchen is spacious with an additional bed therein. Internet is fast & reliable (Starlink). Fresh water is provided all year around from the natural spring up in the mountain. The house is surrounded by olive trees and is perfect for couples and families.

The villa has its own access road with gate. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room table for 8 people, a living room with fireplace and a guest toilet. On the ground floor, there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub. Via a staircase upstairs you reach the other 2 bedrooms; each with its own bathroom with shower and toilet. Each bedroom has its own terrace with a seating area. Halfway through the week, the villa is cleaned and the bed linen is changed.

The property is a two-level maisonette of 75 sq.m. with a capacity of up to 5 people. It is ideal for families, couples, small groups. It is located in an excellent location in Vathi offering stunning views of the port. Enjoy your meal and relax in the large paved courtyards, under centuries-old olive trees. On the property there is a one-seat garage, which is provided free of charge to guests on arrival and departure days. On other days, there is easy free parking next to the house.
