A fabulous stay, we really enjoyed our trip

We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

ゴールデンウィークに宿泊させていただきました。 備品一つひとつに宿泊客への心配りが感じられ、とても快適に過ごせました。 お部屋も徹底的に清掃されており、清潔感が素晴らしかったです。 コンビニまで徒歩7分と便利な立地に加えて、少しですが海も見え、小鳥のさえずりが心地よく、癒しの時間を過ごせました。 夏にはぜひ長期でお世話になりたいと思っています。素敵な滞在をありがとうございました。

昨年に引き続き、2度目の利用でした。お年寄りから子供まで楽しむことのできる場所だと思います。外出しなくても家族でカラオケをしたり料理をしたりプレイルームで遊んだりできるので、ありがたいです。ステキな温泉が付いていて、いつでも入れるというのもこの宿を選ぶ一つの理由です。また家族で利用させていただきます。ありがとうございました。

宿からの眺望が素晴らしく、とても癒されました。家族と愛犬で利用しましたが、犬用のケージやオムツなどが用意されてあり大変助かりました。また全面道路も広く、駐車スペースも広く、とてもアクセスしやすいです。また行きたいです。

We stayed in this lovely home just outside of town, nestled in nature, for one month and felt right at home. Abhi is a most generous and considerate host, he helped us out from start to finish and made sure we had the best time in the Shimoda area. You do not need a car if staying here as the beach and a couple of restaurants are only about a 10 min walk from the house and convenience store about 20 minutes and a couple more good restaurants / bars about 35 minutes. But if you want to visit more sites in the area or go to the grocery store we'd recommend a car. The main reason we were visiting the area was to dive with the huge schools of Hammerhead sharks just off the coast here. Without a car the dive center can pick you up. We stayed here for five weeks. We have been to other parts of Japan on tours and short stays, but we wanted to experience living in Japan. This was the perfect place to do this. Supermarkets and convenience stores all walkable. We recommend Aoki's Market for fresh seafood and best selection of amenities when you need them just a couple blocks away. A closer market is just out the door and around the corner. The host's friend, Ian drove us around the Izu peninsula on several day tours. He is english speaking and this was much better than catching the train to do this as many attractions are a bit far from train stations. We are in the tourism business in Alaska ourselves and found Ian to be an excellent tour guide and fun to be around. FYI there is only one bathroom and one shower. The shower is located in the first floor living area and looks like it was an add on. Since it was only my wife and myself, there was no problem with privacy. Overall a great host and experience!

Very flexible on check out, a lot of things to do near by, staff was awesome, they treat you like family, highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Izu! The home was very comfortable and within easy walking distance to the beach, which made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The nearby small restaurants were charming, and the locals were incredibly welcoming and kind. One tip for future guests: the closest grocery store is a few minutes away by car, so it’s a good idea to stock up on essentials before checking in. One of the highlights for us was the separate bathhouse, ideal for winding down after a beach day and perfect for families with small children. This was a fantastic destination for quality family time, and we’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Beautiful place and the owners were so kind and always went out of their way to help me :) I would recommend having a car to get around this area, unless you’re just going to the beach

We had a wonderful time at Nomade. A nice 15 minute walk at medium effort up hill when coming back from the beach. Beautiful views! Mina was there to greet us and helped us out with recommendations when asked. She was very helpful and nice! We will definitely stay again with a bigger group in the future if the resort is available. 😊

不知道是不是因为我给的评价很低的原因导致评价一直无法提交，这次我试试给五颗星好评能否评价成功。 地址在山上，虫子非常多。驱虫剂喷了几下就没了也没有在房间准备备用的。 和朋友们开的商务车但是山路太陡车开不上去。 晚上回去的时候还在上山的公路上遇到了两次野猪，非常危险，我和朋友们很害怕。 晚上很黑并且侧边的房间和客厅没有窗帘。 床铺感觉不太干净，睡觉的时候全身痒 厕所、浴室、厨房、烧烤炉、餐具、阳台都不干净

Overall it was great. Clean and comfortable, easy to check in. I wasn’t attentive so I didn’t know that there is no shower, but that’s my fault. I would still recommend this apartment. It’s a good choice for budget travelers!

My husband and I and our 1 year old golden retriever really enjoyed our stay here! It felt like a private beach and the views from our room were amazing. The host was so friendly and helpful and even gave us a photo of our dog on the beach as a gift. Our dog loved it and it was nice to be able to let her roam around with us and run on the beach! I would love to go back!

下田の祭やイベントを楽しむには、とても便利な立地！ 部屋にお風呂は無いけれど、近くに銭湯があるし、今回は車で10分のホテルの早朝日帰り温泉を利用。最高の休日でした！

It was a great escape to nature and beach to unwind and relax. The host was so kind and helpful, we enjoyed the BBQ, Breakfast, YOGA, beach front! The onsen was interesting lets say with alot of spiders and bugs and crabs, one huge spider the size of my hand started walking towards us in the onsen so we left as kids were scared. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding beaches and the area. This beach is definitely the best beach in Shimoda and the cave was spectacular.

we had a fantastic stay and abhi and his wife were wonderful hosts. my family enjoyed the spacious home which is in the middle of the nature but close to the beach and close to nice cafes. we already want to go back ! thank you so much for the memories.

Nice, comfortable big house with all facilities you need. The kitchen is well equipped as we never found on our Japan tour like this. Our children loved the big garden to play. We really can recommend this place.

コロナ明けの初めての家族の夏休みでした。 一言でいうと、最高！！！Fantastic!！！ 山、海、川に囲められていて、自然が本当に美しいところです。大都会に住んでいる私のような現在人は、このような場所こそに逃げて、忘れない旅となりました。 天気が台風のため、不安定でしたが、その一方では、波が高く迫力があり、目を離せませんでした。サーフィンをやっている人にとっては、最適だなあと思いました。 海辺が目の前で、好きな時にでも砂浜に来て、深呼吸をしながら、ストレス解消ができました。今回は、ペット連れの旅で、ワンちゃんは元気よく、砂浜に走り回って遊びました。 ペットの飼い主にとっては、安心できるところです！ ロケ周辺には、沢山のレストランや喫茶店があります。 大家さんの守屋さんと奥さんを始め、スタッフの皆さんに感謝したい気持ちが一杯です。 どんな質問でも、丁寧にお答してくれました。娘はヨガに関心があり、守屋さん（奥さん）は 海辺で、親切に体験レッスンを指導していただきました。どうもありがとうございました。 厳しい自然環境にあるBY THE SEA,施設の維持が大変だと思います。これからも、ご繁栄のことを心からお祈りします。 次回もどうぞよろしくお願い致します。どうもありがとうございました。
