Charming Hillside Country Home

This beautiful mid-century house was designed and built by my father. My husband’s parents, Amy and Bob, bought it from my parents’ estate and renovated it. It is filled with light, books and original art. Being inside feels like being outside. It is furnished much as it was when my in-laws moved out, with many of Amy’s paintings. It is not a new or fancy house, but it is authentic and quite a splendid example of mid-century architecture! I hope that you love it as much as I love to share it!

The yard is beautiful with walking paths, a hammock, firepit, and seating areas.

The Rayburn House is one of the county’s few remaining examples of a single log-pen house. The front cabin is c. 1834 and a gable front style and the rear cabin is c. 1890. Very peaceful neighborhood. We have a liquor store, and a buck creep pizza in town it’s only 1/4 of a mile away. About 8 miles to downtown Lafayette where you can find a variety of restaurants, and about 9.4 miles from Purdue University, about 20 minutes drive to Purdue stadium, located in west Lafayette, and if you are traveling and just want to spend the night we are just about A MILE off I-65.
