You want to stay here. The Sandstone Cottage has an exceptional view and an ideal location. The dwelling is well maintained, very clean and perfectly serviced. Being able to use the provided water toys and kayaks was a bonus for our kids. We found the Sandstone Cottage to be comfortable because of how familiar everything was to us, and convenient because of how the space was so sensibly laid out. There is beauty inside and outside of this house. It rocks.

Great place and location for a group base to explore the Hunter valley. Relaxing and easy to stay. Good amenities and well appointed house.

Our stay was simply PERFECT. Lynn is a super host, and the property was so well equiped. I stayed there for a much needed girls night, and we were all amazed at how well stocked the house was and how beautifully renovated and clean. And to top it all off a gorgeous enclosed back garden for my fur baby. We will definitely be back 🙌

Clean rooms and bathroom, stylish furniture, silent and safe surroundings and fantastic location to access Shelly beach and Long Jetty. Everything was awesome including a guidance from the friendly host.

We had the best time!!! We had a whole group of friends, children and dogs and the place was perfect!! They blew up a jumping castle for the kids. There was plenty of activities for the adults like table tennis, volleyball etc. The house had ample room for people to sleep and camp. Megan was so communicative and helpful. The kitchen was full of every piece of crockery and cutlery you needed! We loved it and would go back in a heart beat!!!

Great place, exactly as described. It accommodated our group of 8 who visited the Hunter Valley for a golf trip. Checking in was seamless, the host was responsive and always checking in on us to make sure we were taken care of. Will 100% recommend to any friends and family visiting the Hunter Valley region.

What a remarkable location - and a unique way to access the tree house via boat. Berowra Waters is a stunning place, and having your own little boat tied up to the jetty to jump into for a peaceful explore of the water at any time was definitely the highlight of the stay. The house is lovely and nestled in high trees and bushland with expansive views up the river, with the afternoon sun reflecting the undulating ripples of the water onto the ceiling of the lounge room like a meditative slideshow. The indoor fire was super cosy, with plenty of wood supplied. Outdoor bath was a treat even on a cold night. It was fun to be picked up and dropped back at the marina by knowledgeable locals - very friendly and helpful. Loved every moment !

This house is amazing! The views are so incredible, from the moment you walk in- you’re fixated with looking out over Newport! Lee was easy to communicate with and responded to all our requests very quickly. Definitely would stay again.

Great spot for a long weekend away! Such beautiful surroundings and wonderful to hear so many birds. Had a wonderful time and kids loved the spa pool. Thanks for having us

The group and I really enjoyed the stay, the host was very responsive and flexible with our needs and requests. We felt warm and welcome when we checked in, they even gave us a bottle of wine! We also enjoyed the game room and the kitchen facility. Highly recommended staying at this property next time you go to Hunter.

We had such a lovely stay – the place was warm and cosy, perfect for a relaxing family retreat. It’s in a quiet bush setting but still super convenient, just a 10-minute drive to Merewether Beach and Hickson Street Lookout. We loved taking our dogs for walks along Merewether Beach and even found a great dog-friendly café nearby – the perfect spot for an early brekkie and sunrise. The lookout was stunning at sunset, though dogs aren’t allowed there, so we left ours in the car for a short while. The cottage has a big wooden table out on the deck, and we really enjoyed having lunch there, listening to the frogs singing while the dogs explored the garden. Such great value for a pet-friendly getaway. Thanks so much, Stewart!

Jo and her family are lovely and welcoming. We had a great stay. It was exactly what we needed. Quiet. Peaceful. Surrounded by nature and animals. Beds were very comfortable. Jo made fresh sourdough, provided eggs and vegetables. It was a lovely unexpected touch to supporting our time there. Lovely wineries and cafe's within a 15 minute drive. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at Victoria’s place. The place itself was stunning and it was filled with beautiful and thoughtful touches such a bottle of wine and breakfast food ready - even fresh eggs! Victoria met us and walked us through the place and even let us check out late. We’d definitely recommend this place.

Relaxed, natural, clean and cosy! Just a few words to capture this peaceful home. Owners went above and beyond even to a point where a bag was left and they posted it back to Sydney without additional charges. Stunning view, mineral pool - the photos don’t do it justice. Stephen’s place was the perfect retreat for a rainy weekend. Even though the weather kept us indoors, the spacious layout and fantastic amenities made our stay incredibly enjoyable. There was plenty to do and everyone had a great time. Stephen was also a wonderful host, being very responsive, clear, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Yarramalong Studio was a lovely place to stay. Helen was a very considerate host. Quiet neighbourhood with lots of bird life. Not a lot of grocery or food options nearby, although Asian Kitchen just up the road was a very nice surprise.

We had a wonderful stay at Chris and Pauline's place. It had everything we needed, and was the perfect base for us and our dog to explore the surrounding area. They were great hosts, communicative and forthcoming with various recommendations.

Barkala Cottage is an idyllic spot! The location, surroundings and house were all spectacular. It was the perfect spot to switch off from the world, breathe some fresh air, eat good food and just relax. I can’t wait for an opportunity to go back again in the not too distant future!

Great house in a peaceful rural setting with lovely styling and pared-back furnishings. Plenty of space for our family of 5 (and dog) to relax and enjoy the bush surrounds. Kids absolutely loved the flying fox, too (I think the whole suburb heard their screams of joy!).

We had very relaxing stay at Tara's Coastal Cottage. Place was very clean, beautifully set up with attention to details. Really thoughtful welcoming basket not only for us but also jar of dog treats for our dog was lovely touch and it make us feel very welcome . Place is very dog friendly with fully fenced garden . Lots of long dog friendly beaches around . Coles but also lots of takeaways are just walking distance from the cottage. We truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this listing tu future guests!
