Underfloor heating and fireplace heat in winter. Cooking with an Airfryer, in the microwave, or on the terrace with a gas grill. Drinking water is available directly from the kitchen faucet. The guest has the entire cottage at their disposal, with sleeping areas for two, a sauna, a toilet, and a small kitchen. Do you miss stopping in the middle of nature? Savukallio is a Lappish wilderness cabin that invites you to breathe deeply and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The core idea of the place is: “Everyone is a hermit at heart” – a place to reset the mind and clarify your own thoughts. The cabin, built from old smoke sauna logs, is located in the lake landscape of Savo, about 70 km from Kuopio. The property offers a simple, authentic and natural wilderness experience for couples and travelers seeking peace and quiet.

Alapihan Arboretum guest house with sauna

Cozy guest house and sauna in a wild tree species park. There are about 250 different species of woody trees and shrubs in the two-hectare area. The trees were planted in 1970 and form their own microclimate, where the air is clean and good to breathe. The area is still partly in its natural state and renovation is being done in the area. For those interested, we will be happy to introduce the arboretums during the visit. The household includes two Lapphunds, a cat, a rooster and 6 hens. Breakfast available

Beautiful log house on the shore of Lake Pielinen. A quiet location, stunning scenery and good outdoor opportunities best describe this place. In winter, you can access the ski slope from the ice in front of the cottage. In addition, the ski slopes of the Timitra ski resort are within walking distance of the cottage. In the courtyard of the cottage, there are good downhill skiing opportunities, as well as a great setting for winter activities. However, city services are available a few kilometers away.

Small log cabin with spectacular lake views. There is an extendable bed (2x80cm) in the cabin, as well as a kitchenette (running cold water). Sheets and towels provided. Electricity. Rent includes private use of a spacious wood burning sauna by the lake, about 2h per day (sauna also used by the owners). You can book your slot at arrival. Access to hot water in sauna (heated by wood). Dry toilet next to the sauna. Use of a rowing boat. Cabin is located 50 meters from the house of the owners.
