Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kagoshima

Mike and Kei’s place was absolutely stunning—far more beautiful than the photos suggest. Nestled on the southern tip of Yakushima in a serene and peaceful setting, it was the perfect home base for our four-day stay. The Airbnb had everything we needed, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Both the island and their home were the highlights of our trip. We were lucky to have four glorious days of sunshine. Just a few minutes away is Hirauchi Kaichu Onsen, which we visited twice at night. Soaking in the seaside hot spring under the moonlight, with the sound of waves crashing nearby, was an unforgettable experience.

Very convenient location, less than 5 mins walk to the train station, convenient stores and shopping mall. The apartment is very clean and comfortable. Nice hot bath pool which is rare to see in the airbnb houses. The kitchen is perfect, you can get what you want for cooking. The furnitures and machines are new and nice. The host is very friendly who shows us the house when we arrived. Highly recommended for big group of families and friends.

初めての奄美旅行で５泊滞在させていただきました。何よりヒロコさんのホスピタリティーが最高でした。地元名産のお菓子をたくさんご用意いただいたり、冷蔵庫にはこれまた大量のお茶やお水に氷だけでなくありとあらゆる調味料まで・・・至れり尽くせりとは正にこのことです。建物自体は決して新しくありませんが、室内はきれいに整頓されており、清潔感にあふれています。タオル類や寝具、食器も十分に用意されており、手ぶらで訪れても全く問題ありません。今までAirbnbでは国内外を含め数多く利用させていただいておりますが、トップレベルの満足度です。あまりの居心地の良さに、滞在中に5か月後の予約もしちゃいました。次回の訪問が今から待ち遠しいです。

温泉が気持ちよく翌日お肌がツルツル！と言われました。関西から九州旅行の初日に利用させていただき、最高の鹿児島の旅になりました。近くの和食レストランに行きましたが、どの料理もとても美味しく幸せでした。また鹿児島旅行に来た際は利用したいです。

Keiko and Mike are incredibly kind and generous hosts. They were very responsive and helpful when needed. Our first flight to the island was cancelled due to bad weather and they helped us communicate and arrange with the car rental agency. They also were responsive as we kept them updated with our arrival. The house itself is a beautiful traditional house. The tatami mats were so comfortable and cozy to sleep on, great after a full day hiking in the forest, and the bath and shower were wonderful to bathe in. The kitchen is fully equipped for a long stay and has everything you need for cooking. The location itself is very peaceful and private. One can feel close to the nature surrounding and the natural onsen in the sea nearby is very special. All in all, it was an incredible 3 days in Yakushima at their place.

Great location, easy check in and well equipped apartment. Would recommend to other travelers visiting the beautiful city of Kagoshima!

Lovely, clean cottage on a beautiful beach on a beautiful island. House was as described with a well outfitted kitchen that allowed for easy meal prep and a relaxing stay. Sleeping to gentle waves was peaceful. Really enjoyed the beach walks.

プライベートビーチでのステイケーションの夢を叶えてくれた、最高の滞在になりました。室内はしっかりとお手入れが行き届いており、また必要なものは全て揃っており、何不自由なく過ごすことが出来ました。ヨガマットの準備をお願いしたのですが、そちらも快く整えてくださいました。次回、またここに泊まるために奄美大島に帰って来たいくらいです。ありがとうございました。

Excellent location near Kagoshima-Chuo station. Spotlessly clean apartment with all needed amenities. Would definitely recommend. We enjoyed our stay!

It was our 5th time in Japan and the best place we stayed! Yuko san was the nicest, wormest and the most caring person we met in Japan. We were welcomed personally by her. She showed us all the apartment and provided all necessary informations. She even prepared some light snacks for us. In the morning she brought us delicious breakfast and when we were leaving equally delicious bento for the next part of our journey. I can not recommend this host and her place enough!

Mico's place is small and basic, but great value and great location. It was so central and very easy to get around. He was a very responsive host and helpful with our questions. We would stay again.

ホストは、返信が早くて、親切でした。 インテリアも素敵で、アメニティやコーヒー、タオルも、充実しており、快適に過ごす事が出来ました。 ベッドから、プロジェクターで、映像鑑賞が出来て、大雨の日だったので、外出時間を減らしましたが、とても居心地が良かったです。 家電もオシャレで、また利用したいです。

房间很大，非常的干净，日常用品齐备，智能马桶，冰箱，厨具，微波炉都有。浴室也很棒，洗澡舒服。民宿就在中央站旁边，坐车，逛街都特方便。

Masatoshi's place is pristine and clean. The tableware and cooking utensil supply is good enough for a long stay. This Airbnb is situated in a very convenient place. It takes only 10 to 15 min. to the city center (Tenmonkan) and there is a couple of convenience stores and grocery stores within walking distance. If you are looking for a comfortable and also affordable place to stay, you should look at this place.

It was a nice and great experience staying in your apartment. If possible, please install a washing machine for laundry then the apartment will be perfect. For sure, I will book it again in the future. Thank you very much.

we had a wonderful stay T Yu's place. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. About 15 minutes walk to Tenmonkan which was perfect.

Really great apartment. Has everything that you need for a long stay. There’s even a good knife, that is rare in Airbnb apartments. Very convenient location. Just in the city center with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Several minutes from sea and the ferries to Takushima. Apartment itself is spacious. There are 2 air conditioners that make the living comfortable in any weather. In apartment some tourist information was provided , that was very useful. Kuko-san is a great host, always ready to help you. I would like to return here one more time

天文館のど真ん中にありどこに行くのにも便利でした。 繁華街特有の騒音等を心配してましたが窓も二重で全くと言っていいほど気にならなかったです。 何よりとても綺麗な部屋で入った瞬間から気分が上がりました。 部屋単位での予約なので急な人数変更が起こっても安心して利用できました。 素晴らしい旅行となりました。ありがとうございました。

We had a wonderful experience staying at Gou's Airbnb. I was worried that checking in would be tricky, but was pleasantly surprised that it was truly a breeze based on the simple info shared through the Airbnb booking! The place was extremely clean and neat when we entered, Gou did such a great job preparing the place for us and we felt right at home. There are many eateries and a Tayo supermarket within walking distance, and was extremely convenient to all the places we wanted to go with bus stations and tram stations also within walking distance. Just a separate note that this place happens to be located within streets filled with pubs and clubs, so there are many big posters that are not so appropriate for kids. This place is great overall. I would highly recommend it.
