'The Cottage'

‘The Cottage’, is a cosy, self-contained cottage situated in the lovely Kaitoke countryside, a 40 minute drive from Wellington; 20 from the Wairarapa and 10 from Upper Hutt. 'The Cottage', is also the perfect location for access to the Rimutaka Incline Trail and Aston Norwood Gardens & Cafe. It is a modern two-bedroomed cottage, which could accommodate up to four guests. From the lounge, you can enjoy watching the animals play in the paddock below or the birds fluttering around in the trees.

Wake up to the Tui's bird song, the fantail chatter and the river echoing through the valley. Relax in the quiet surrounds take in natures medicine while walking through the bush past the historical Totara down to the river. Relax unwind and connect with each other and nature.

Cosy Cabin ~outdoor bath~stars~donkeys

Our self-contained, double-glazed, fully insulated compact cabin is well appointed. It stands alone on our 3 acre lifestyle property, private from our house with fabulous views to the Remutakas. There is an outdoor dining area with a BBQ. Relax in the ~outdoor bath~ under the stars in front of the wee fire (kindling & wood supplied). We have a kune kune pig (Sophie), small dog (Lucy), sweet Huntaway (Ruby), donkeys (Phoebe, Anna, Zeb & Lily) & August (cat). All very friendly.

Hamden Estate Cottage

Enjoy a stay on our Martinborough vineyard. The cottage is nestled amongst the vines and offers a peaceful retreat from the city. We are 8 kilometres from the centre of Martinborough heading south on the way to Lake Ferry. You can enjoy a leisurely wine tasting at our cellar door with David who is always happy to talk wine. We will also transport you to Martinborough so that you can spend the day investigating local wineries or dine at one of the town's fine restaurants.

The Gatehouse - vintage cottage with rural views

Relax on the sunny window seat with views over surrounding paddocks in this charming vintage cottage. The deck is a sunny peaceful spot for morning coffee and the plumpy fireside sofa perfect for sinking into with a glass of wine. The Gatehouse is only six minutes drive from Martinborough and 11 minutes to Greytown. It has two bedrooms with queen beds, one a four poster, a kitchen/dining space and new bathroom with shower (high pressure system installed Oct 2022).

Boutique Greytown cottage

Nestled in the back garden of a century-old house, is a sunny, self-contained, private cottage. Two sets of french doors open into a private garden. The cottage is 3 minutes walk to the vibrant centre of Greytown with cafes and boutique shops. A continental breakfast is provided. Discounts are provided for longer stays. A small foldaway bed is available at an additional fee for one child under 12. Otherwise the maximum number of guests is two.
