I had a lovely overnight stay at Carters Rest while travelling for business. The 'self serve' breakfast was very convenient & generous. The room was exactly as in the photos. I will gladly recommend Carters Rest

My family and I had a lovely stay. Was home away from home, which made our stay more enjoyable The couple are warm and friendly ! We’re looking forward to staying there on our next visit !

Beautiful place. Really enjoyed the tents. We even had to extend our stay and fortunately there was still space. Place felt like home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The host (Neo), was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely go back.

The town had its power and water cut when I arrived, and it never came back on by the time I left the next day. Rui did his best by running the generator occasionally and provided bottles of water for my use. In spite of this, I had a decent stay and a good night’s sleep in the comfortable room. Thanks Rui!

I stayed with Milankies family for a month and had a really good time. The area is quiet and safe to walk around. The kitchen was well equipped and you have everything you need for cooking easy meals. The wifi works well and the hosts were very helpful when I had any questions. They is a supermarket and some restaurants close by too.

Great place to stop over on your way from Cape Town to Joburg with two kids and a dog. Jungle gym and pool for the kids and space for the dog to roam. Clean room and bathroom. Would definitely choose this stop over accommodation again.

Andreas's estate is a great stopover that we made in Namibia. The place is beautiful, the staff very nice and Andreas was super welcoming. The outside is beautiful, we will be back. Thank you again for hosting us!!

It was a perfect upmarket stay for me my wife and our two daughters. The property was clean and the garden well kept and save parking and the beds were comfortable and the aircon worked perfectly. The area is also nice and you should be able to go for a walk, however after 8 hours of travel we only wanted to relax and for that the unit was nice and relaxing. We did not stay for the breakfast however next time we will do the breakfast as well.

We visited Upington on a work trip and had a great stay at Alucarni, located near a variety of restaurants and shops. The room (with air conditioning) was very comfortable and well-maintained, providing a perfect place to relax. Getting to and from the property was a breeze, with clear instructions and easy access. Highly recommend Alucarni for anyone visiting the area!

The stay was absolutely amazing. Arrived earlier than check in but she allowed us to drop off our luggage while waiting. The room smelt heavenly. It was very spacious and comfortable. There is a lovely shower that’s not very visible in the pictures. The only problem was the room was really cold. It’s an open space for the air-con didn’t help much. She did however provide us with an extra blanket. Other than that I will definitely be coming back. Lovely host, lovely stay. She was also flexible with the check out which was very sweet and considerate.

Deb's place is a newly decorated gem and has two large bedrooms each with its own bathroom and a big sitting room-cum-kitchen. Conveniently located near to the N7 in a quiet neighborhood. Secure parking and the host was very helpful and lives on the same erf.

We stayed at Simataa's on our way to Victoria Falls and we absolutely loved it. The Host is very friendly and proactive. The place is spacious, clean, well maintained with beautiful and serene surroundings. If you want to experience an authentic African home, this place is for you.

I recently stayed at a delightful cottage, and it was the perfect getaway. Tucked away in a peaceful setting, the cottage had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The interior was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay—everything from a fully stocked kitchen to a comfy living area with a fireplace. The natural light streaming through the windows offered beautiful views of the surrounding nature, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the scenery. The outdoor space was just as charming, with a small porch and nearby trails perfect for a morning walk or evening stroll. What really stood out, though, was the owner’s hospitality. They were incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and providing helpful recommendations for nearby activities. Overall, this cottage was an ideal escape for relaxation and nature. I left feeling refreshed and am already planning my next visit. Highly recommend it!

We had such a great stay at Lake Grappa. Unit is very nicely furnished and has everything you would need and only a short drive to the Augrabies Falls. We also enjoyed dinner and drinks at the restaurant which was fantastic. Great atmosphere and stunning view of the sunset over the lake. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Thank you Gerrit!

Absolutely loved our stay, especially the inside braai! The kids loved it too and are already planning our next visit so definitely staying here again.

Quiet location. Flat had most everything you need. Missing was a kitchen sink but the housekeeper would clean daily and take off the dishes and I could rinse them a bit in the bathroom sink. It was really hot when I stayed and the only fan was a ceiling fan over the bed. In summer you might want to bring an additional fan if the heat bothers you.

The house/apartment was charming, and the host was friendly and helpful. Will always come back
