Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kalamaki Beach

Absolutely recommended! The apartment is discreetly embedded in the hilly landscape and is very stylish and modernly furnished, you immediately notice that the hosts have put their thoughts and effort into it. Emmet and Antigoni are incredibly kind and helpful, you feel immediately welcome. The pool and views of the Psiloritis mountains and Messara plain are fantastic. The beautiful village of Sivas with tavernas, cafes and two mini markets is just a 5 minute walk away. I stayed with my 11 year old son for 10 days, the apartment is perfect for that, we were both totally thrilled. I give 8 out of 5 points!

If you are searching for paradise, you will find it here! Words can‘t describe the magic of this place. It‘s all about the details of design and living (from the signature house scent and the open-air shower to the tasteful interior design and the infinity pool overlooking the rough cliffs of crete), total peace far away from hustle and bustle and waking up to the breathtaking, unmatched view of the sea right from your bed. Einat was a great host, she welcomed us personally and was always there for any questions. Good to know: In the region are not many mini- or supermarkets and everything is at least a 15 min drive away. But you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the apartment if you want so and Einats recommendations for great tavernas, beaches and beautiful villages in the area are worth every ride! You should listen to her tips, because some of them were the gems of our crete trip for sure. It was definetly not our last visit. Thanks for the great experience!

We had a great stay at this apartment for four days. The place was very clean, spacious, with a beautiful view of the sea, and in a great location for exploring the area. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We would be happy to stay here again.

The house was modern and comfortable. The pool was amazing - such a relaxing spot to unwind. We were surrounded by beautiful olive trees and stunning views, which made the atmosphere feel peaceful and special. And one of our favorite parts was the grill area. We loved spending evenings cooking and dining outdoors.

We had an awesome time at Nikos’s place, he gave very useful tips and his apartment is at walking distance from everything in Matala(as the village is very small). As mentioned in other posts, there are quite a few steps to the place but you get used to it, and it’s a great workout after a big dinner in one of the restaurants below. One of the days it was too windy to be on the beach so we stayed on the terrace of the accommodation with a great view of the sea, the sound of the waves and privacy from others. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Thank you Nikos!

super nice... magnificent view from the terrace... great contact with the hostess who is super kind... thoughtfulness and small gifts... always attentive... one of the best places since the beginning!!!Nothing but recommendations!!! GREAT!!!

A quirky hippy tiny house, small and cozy, with super nice garden to chill out! All beaches and places such as Matala, Agia Gallini etc. within easy reach! The village with its 5 restaurants and cafe is almost around the corner within a 3-minute walk! Ciara, the warm and friendly contact person on site, gives good tips and is always available! :) Only flaw, the washing machine was broken. A good place to find peace and quiet! Recommended!

Amazing accommodation w/ beautiful views of the beach, parking, a full kitchen, comfortable bed. My only wish would be to have had more time to spend at this apartment

Kostas is really a super nice and helpful host. He informed us in advance about the current road conditions and was always open to any question in general. The place was super clean and was cleaned every day on request. Everything really super clean and super organized. Can only recommend it!

First off, we enjoyed being so close to the beach and restaurants in Rethymnon and the property was perfectly located. Fotis added a lot of links for parking, places to eat and even the best beaches. He was super helpful. While we did have a minor issue with hot water, Fotis did immediately respond and resolved the problem. He even generously offered to extend our stay so we could have more time to shower. Fotis is proactive and truly committed to making your stay enjoyable. We we only stayed one night, I would recommend his place to anyone planning to visit Rethymnon who enjoys a nice view of the beach and is looking for a convenient and clean place to stay.

Niki and Cristos were really lovely and friendly hosts. Fresh flowers, homemade biscuits and cake, wine etc were provided and left in the apartment. The apartment was bright and clean. They treated us as family and really made us feel at home. Surrounded by the most amazing mountains. Beautiful people on beautiful Bali. What more could you ask for? Eif charisto! The photos do not do this beautiful place justice. The flowers and greens are so bright, and you have a view of mountains and the sea. Tina is incredibly kind and accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. She sent me home with some wonderful herbs from her garden - they smell amazing! She also treated me to some homemade Cretan cake she baked at the start of my trip. As a solo traveller, this was incredibly special and I am so grateful to her. Driving around the area is fantastic with so many beaches and hikes in the surrounding area. The space is very clean and comfortable! I hope to one day return.

Giannis is a very invested, responsive and discreet host. We really enjoyed the welcome with a pastry (very good!), the oranges in the fridge as well as the drinks made available. The environment is very pleasant and the location is ideal, quiet but close to the promenade with restaurants. If there were any questions, Giannis was always available as well as to make recommendations to us. Listing is as described. However, it should not be too big for the night part and the bathroom but otherwise everything was very good!

10/10 Eleni is so sweet and helpful dont be afraid to text her for ANY support. The only thing I would say is if u struggle with stairs this may not be the best for you as it at the top of a hill that u need stairs for walking. If u have a car though that wont be an issue for you :)

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Just outside of the (now too busy) town. Still walking distance to town. Excellent views of both sea and highest mountain Spiliotis. I Friendly host. Can recommend. 👌

9 days vacation in a wonderful little apartment with a really great terrace. Everything is new and friendly and furnished with a lot of love. But we were even more impressed by Anna's cordiality and all her little (edible and drinkable) gifts, which were always at our door. Thank you so much again, dear Anna. The apartment is easily accessible, with its own parking space right in front of the door and within walking distance of the beach and town. On the beach, you can lie down on the available loungers in front of most taverns for free and enjoy the day. Of course, you should also eat something at the respective tavern. The way back from the beach and also from the port area in Agia Galini is safe for one or the other to describe as a bit more exhausting, just like the 3 floors up to Annas apartment. With heavy suitcases, a challenge :) But, with that you can then also go to one of the many taverns to eat comfortably with a clear conscience!!

Anna is an incredibly kind and helpful host, and her lovely apartment is located walking distance to the beautiful old town. It was perfect for my short visit. :)

Marianna’s place was great - we had a very pleasant time there. The view over the Mediterranean Sea is stunning, and the location is easy to access. Her mum, Sonia, kindly made us a local pie upon arrival, and she was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and it’s only about 20 minutes to the Heraklion city centre. Highly recommended!

Fabulous attentive host. Light bright spacious apartment with a lift. Generous welcome pack , great walk in shower, large extremely comfortable beds and nice fresh linen. Large Windows and sliding doors onto two terraces , one with the hot tub! Sunset and sea views from both terraces. Close to bars and restaurants with Indigos our favourite just across the road on the beach front. We hired a car from the host and went on an adventure. Definitely the way to see Crete! The mountainous centre is fantastic and you get to discover other great places. Recommend Evita beach Bali which is just 30 mins along the coast. Truly a piece of heaven. Very sad to leave!!! Thank you so much for everything!
