Hideaway in Wamboin. 15 minutes to Queanbeyan or Bungendore, close to wineries. Comfortable, private and separate studio unit (donga) with queen bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. Tea's and Coffees available. Stargazing on clear nights, peace and quiet. This is a small space that is not suitable for long term rental. Note: after numerous suggestions as to temperature control, I have now installed reverse cycle air conditioning. Nearest shops are in Queanbeyan (15mins away)

This is my second time staying at Mei's and it was perfect for my purposes in Canberra. Extremely clean, tidy and cosy with a fridge and tea station. The area is quiet and checking in was very easy. There is a heater air conditioner and the bed is big and comfortable. Thank you Mei

Helen is the kind of host I like best - she leaves me alone, with privacy and solitude... unless I need something, and then she responds promptly, and with friendly and kind care. The room is small but comfortable and cosy, and while I wish the bathroom wasn't a shared one, nevertheless it is really quite lovely - very clean and so nicely decorated, it looks beautiful - a super nice place to have a shower etc. The area is civillised and quiet, and the nearby walking path is a good place for an evening stroll.

Lovely room, small details made it less hotel like. We only stayed for the night to go to the NRL @ GIO. Not much around to do before or after around the hotel itself. We were barely there so was plenty for us. Parking is b2 which I didn’t realize you go right to then go down again to follow hosts instructions for parking. 2 car spots so super save for my car. Bed was on the harder side but still comfortable. The pillows not so much very rock had we had to use the couch cushions (which is fine for one night) anymore we would have struggled!

Chhaya was a great host and responsive. We loved that the neighbourhood is quiet with some beautiful walks around. But also convenient to drive to other places in Canberra. Would definitely stay here again 😊
